The opportunity

As part of our business development team, you’ll build strategic relationships with executives from leading organisations. By understanding their business issues and imperatives, you’ll broaden your experience. Collaborating with other teams, you’ll help to identify and shape the solutions to client issues. Backed by the resources of a global organisation, you’ll gain experiences and foster relationships that will support your long-term success.

Your key responsibilities

You’ll be working with the Area Client Service Partners (CSP), Business Development Executives (BDE) and client account teams to proactively develop, manage and track all activity on some of EY’s most important global Financial Services accounts. You play a vital role creating and maintaining relationships with client account teams, being the central point of contact, facilitating communication and global coordination.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Account Management

  • Supporting the CSPs and BDE with the development and implementation of an account-centric, action-orientated account plans

  • Understanding the client’s business agenda and working with CSP and/or BDE to connect our clients to the right people

  • Facilitating account management meetings

  • Be the knowledge steward of the account and disseminate client information to the Global and Area account teams regularly

  • Managing the onboarding process for new team members

  • Leveraging EY resources (e.g. Knowledge, Branding, Marketing and Communication, Finance)

  • Managing and executing the Assessment of Service Quality (ASQ) and win/loss debrief processes for the accounts

  • Managing the relationship map to identify the key players and develop touch point campaigns to build and strengthen these relationships

  • Coordinating invitations for client relationship events

  • Managing select client relationships where relevant (e.g. procurement or projects)

  • Oversight and management of offshore resource dedicated to account

  • Sales and Program Management

  • Managing the CRM process which includes holding the team accountable to push opportunities through the sales cycle, incorporating EY’s global sales methodology on active opportunities and client meetings, and ensuring all key client relationships are properly managed

  • Understanding of EY-wide services and thought leadership to determine which programs, initiatives and thought leadership would be relevant to the client

  • Supporting the pursuit process for the smaller to mid-range opportunities

  • Managing and coordinating the revenue planning process

  • Liaising with global Account Managers and teams on accounts

  • Communication and administration

  • Developing, managing and distributing communications (e.g. value scorecards, internal and external communications)

  • Own reporting process for assigned accounts and tracking pipeline

  • Revenue reporting

  • Organising account team meetings

  • Oversight and management of offshore resource dedicated to account

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A Bachelor degree in any fields

  • At least 3 to 6 years of relevant working experience in account management and/or sales processes

  • Professional and confident with first rate interpersonal skills and executive presence

  • Financial Services industry related knowledge/experience and commercial acumen

  • Project management experience, strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Confidence to propose new ideas and ability to influence at all levels

  • Work on own initiative unsupervised and ability to juggle conflicting demands on time and prioritize effectively

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and facilitation skills

  • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

Ideally, you also have

  • Experience working in multicultural teams
