As part of the Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice and you will provide a well-integrated broad array of risk management services to capital market participants within global banking, capital markets, asset management and insurance. FSRM products and services include Anti-Money Laundering, Regulatory Compliance, Prudential Supervision, Bank Holding Company reporting, Credit Risk/ Capital Adequacy/ Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, Structured Finance and Quantitative Advisory Services.
Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Manager in the Risk Management team, you will be required to lead EY services in the market through business development, sales, project planning and high quality project execution. You will build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers and contribute to the growth of our team. Bringing experience and insight on one or more disciplines, you will shape solutions to a range of client challenges in the area of quantitative credit risk management . Working in this creative environment, you will be given the opportunity to take responsibility and work on challenging projects for major clients in Singapore and across the region.
You will be leading projects relating to:
Wholesale and retail credit risk methodologies, processes and tools with leading risk practices
Strategy and business planning for credit risk management including advising on the design of risk appetite and concentration limits for credit exposures
Risk rating frameworks, pricing and capital allocation models, and provisioning processes and models for retail and wholesale credit portfolios
Improvements in credit assessment and analysis, approval processes, administration and settlement
Improvements in credit collections and recoveries
Compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
Skills and attributes for success
Willingness to learn and continuously expand technical and business skills.
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and writing skills. This must include the ability to communicate and present technical matters clearly to non-expert business personnel
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Analytical skills; specifically, the ability to assess and decompose financial services industry processes utilizing a risk and control focus
Leverage technology to continually learn, improve service delivery and maintain our leading edge best practices
Project management skills including ability to manage client relationships and lead teams
To qualify for the role you must have
Good academic background, including a Bachelor and a Master degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Engineering, Operational Research, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or other related field with strong quantitative focus.
Professional experience including:
Development, optimization and validation and application of credit risk models (scoring and rating models, PD, LGD, IRB, stress testing, impairment & IFRS 9, etc.).
Credit policies and processes, credit risk data and related financial institutions’ regulatory and accounting requirements.
Programming for quantitative analysis and data mining (e.g. using SAS and other vendor tools).
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Post-graduate/ technical qualifications in credit risk management
