We are currently seeking for a Senior Rail Signalling Engineer / Rail Signalling Engineer to join the Rail team within the Arup Transport and Resources group.
The primary focus and responsibilities of this role are:
Produce Rail Systems Engineering design / consultancy for projects
Provide Signalling Systems consultancy for projects
Coordinate and liaise with external parties in producing engineering deliverables
Manage the production of drawings, plans, reports and other deliverables
Communicate with clients to establish their needs
Relevant Degree in Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience working for a railway signalling supplier
Either experience in CBTC (GoA4 highly preferred) in design or integration roles, or in ETCS in design or integration roles.
Experience working in Asia.
Product development experience, either software or hardware.
RAMS and Systems Assurance capabilities. Knowledge of EN standards
Language skills/fluency in Asian languages other than English are highly preferred, especially Japanese.
Good knowledge of Engineering Safety Management (The Yellow Book / iESM)
Capability / experience working in ISA/IV&V roles
Experience in O&M
Able to demonstrate strong engineering skills and knowledge
Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
Able to quickly develop successful client relationships
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines is essential
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges
Supporting the firm’s compliance in maintaining ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirement.
Other relevant duties as required.
