Join us as a Hygiene Executive in HolidayInn Singapore Atrium . You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key

skills. Because of this vital role, we are looking for someone who can

  • Works with superior in the preparation and managementof the department’s scorecard

  • Supervises all functions of the Stewarding operation toachieve the optimum departmental target

  • Assists in coordinating the preparation of thedepartmental annual target and scorecard

  • Controls and monitors departmental costs on an ongoingbasis to ensure performance against target

  • Conduct Food Safety training for food handler

  • Develop competency of halal team members and attendrelevant halal course in line with MUIS requirements

  • Evaluation of efficiency of training from chemicalsupplier

  • Establish monthly Food Safety Training report

  • Creates training plans for existing policies and updateon new ones

  • Works with Manager and Human Resource Manager to ensurethe departmental performance of staff is productive. Duties include:

o Plans

for future staffing needs

o Recruits

in line with company guidelines

o Prepares

and administers detailed induction program for new staff

o Assists

in maintaining a comprehensive, current and guest focused set of departmental

standards and procedures and oversees their implementation

o Ensures

training needs analysis of Stewarding staff is carried out and training

programmes are designed and implemented to meet needs

o

Maintains training records for all stewarding staff

o Conducts

probation and formal performance appraisal discussions in line with company

guidelines

o Coaches,

counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance

performance

o Establishes

efficient work schedules in line with local labor regulations

o Approves

leave after considering hotel occupancies

  • Oversees the Stewarding operations

  • Liaise with Engineering Department to schedulepreventive maintenance and repairs

  • Implement Critical Control Points System

  • Implement Control system procedures

  • Establish standards in Food & Personal Hygiene

  • Implement a tracking system for vendor verification andstreamlining delivery and storage process

  • Ensure specification/quality/delivery records forperishable food items

  • Implement cooking, storage and serving control points

  • Ensure segregation of all raw and cooked foodprocedures are strictly observed

  • Ensure sanitizing/disinfection procedure are in place

  • Establish Hygiene Committee to review any issue pendingto Hygiene

  • Establish proper documentation on the usages ofchemical products

  • Establish suitable methods to ensure cleaning iseffective

  • Ensure cleaning products are properly labelled andsafely stored

  • Bi monthly audit based on Food Safety policies with areport to the Director of Food & Beverage addressing corrective actionrequired

  • Implement tracking system for Monthly Food SafetyTraining Report and Monthly Lab Test Report

  • Ensure that the HACCP system is implemented andmaintained in accordance to all the procedures and work instructionsestablished.

  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence andrecurrence of any non- conformances relating to the product, processes andthe HACCP system.

  • Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies andprocedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and withinOH&S guidelines

  • Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational,health and safety legislation, policies and procedures

  • Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fireand emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly

  • Establish hotel halal team structure and halalcertifications

  • Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation andnotify supervisors of potential dangers

  • Log security incidents and accidents in accordance withhotel requirements

Qualifications

In addition, you should have the

following qualifications and skills that we are looking for:-

  • Diploma in Food Science / FoodTechnology or related field

  • At least 2 – 3 years ofrelevant experience in food safety and stewarding

  • A passion for the service andhospitality industry

  • Adaptable, determined andsomeone who thrives in a fast paced environment

  • Proactive, highly motivated andhas excellent interpersonal & communication skills.

  • A people-oriented individualwith strong leadership skills

  • Presentable and well groomed

  • Demonstrates ability tointeract with the customers, employees and third parties that reflectshighly on the hotel, the brand and the Company
