for a Manager, Learning Technology AMEA to join our fun

and energetic team at Singapore Corporate Office.

more than 300,000 colleagues in 5000 different locations and we therefore require a strategy for learning that is

flexible and adaptable to ever changing business needs. Through technology we

can ensure learning is accessible to everyone at any time, leveraging the

latest thinking, and providing a user experience which drives real behavior

change. Reporting to the Director, Global Learning Technology with a dotted reporting

into the Head of Learning and Development AMEA, you will drive this aim in the following ways:

  • Work with yourRegional Learning Head in engaging various regional business partners tounderstand their key strategic and operational initiatives that offer theopportunity to be enabled and supported by learning solutions.

  • Partner with yourRegional Learning Head, Global Learning Technology and Global Technology in managingthe regional implementation of a long term learning technology strategy androadmap which takes IHG to real competitive advantage and is bought into andsupported by the business.

  • In conjunctionwith Global Technology, manage the regional implementation plan of the learningtechnology strategy, by introducing the key components of the learningtechnology architecture into IHG.

  • This will beachieved by

Learning Technology Strategy Planning

  • Champion and face of the new LearningOperating Model in the region, possessing deep knowledge of the programme’svision, objectives, and plan

  • Together withyour regional learning head, gather the requirements for learning technology inthe future from the different user and stakeholder groups across your region.

  • Owner of the regional stakeholder management plan,working closely with the regional learning head to deliver the plan

  • Manage theLearning Technology Strategy through the relevant governance processes for yourregion to manage the delivery and communication of materials and presentationsto convey the Learning Technology strategy to regional stakeholders in acompelling manner

LearningTechnology Strategy Execution

  • With HR Information systems team,Global Technology & Learning, feed into the scope for the future functionalrequirements for the new LMS

  • Regional project planning thetransition to a new platform. Adviseregional functions and local learning team to maximize use of the systemwhile preserving data integrity and globally consistent content framework,thus avoiding emergence of partial or duplicate systems in the future

  • Co-ordinate with your regionallearning head preparation for a replacement LMS including cleaning up'existing course curricula, standardizing processes, agreeing namingconventions.

  • Understand the current region LMS,and plan migration, execute the migration collaborating the stakeholdersand global learning technology team

  • Gather & prepare data andinsight to show the progress and impact of newly introduced learningtechnology

  • Support the definition ofdevelopment and delivery standards to optimize the user experience

  • Deliver learning analytics tosupport the region and regional learning head

  • Owns theregional business readiness plan and is the programme’s regional lead asthe link to the hotel ready process locally for a successful go-live

  • Local expert fornew functionality that’s introduced (social/informal learning for example) andto ensure regions fully unlock value of reports, analytics, and dashboards


Ideally you'll have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in HR

Development, Education, Organizational Development, or a relevant field of

work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.


  • Experience inintroducing new learning or technology solutions

  • Experience in learningand development

  • Experience ofpreparing communication materials to influence decisions

  • Experience inworking with external consultants

  • Broadunderstanding of people strategy, including the drivers of organizationeffectiveness and the links to talent management and learning

  • Experience inproject management, LMS project implementationand/or knowledge preferred.

  • Not solely ITbackground, important to understand the ‘end-to-end’ learning experience froman industry, user and talent perspective

Technical Skillsand Knowledge

  • Demonstratedeffective verbal and written communication skills including strong facilitationskills and ability to communicate information to groups in a clear and concisemanner

  • Demonstratedteamwork and interpersonal skills including ability to advise and deliverfeedback in a constructive manner to remote colleagues

  • Demonstratedstrong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Demonstratedconsulting skills for the purpose of advising trainers and managers

  • Demonstrateproject management expertise in organizing, planning and executing complexprojects

  • E-learning,gaming, social learning principles and practices, demonstrated understanding ofe-learning industry standards (AICC, SCORM, TinCan).
