Role: Production Support L2 for Distributed Custody business applications.

About the Business:

Custody Services is a business of safekeeping Securities holdings on behalf of customers and facilitating clearing and settlement with CSD’s and Exchanges. Custody services are also extended to provide Asset Servicing such as CA processing and Notification and Reclamation of Tax. In each market, there are usually a number of local custodian banks that provide Custody Services, thus giving customers a choice of Services and Prices. When banks provide Custody Services in multiple markets through only one service agreement with Customers, they are called “Global Custodian” banks. The overall Custody function is also referred to as Post-Trade settlement service. Citi is a licensed Custodian bank that provides these services to Institutional Clients.

Background:

This role is of L2 Production support to support applications for APAC Securities Services Technology - Custody business. Custody support is responsible for ensuring high availability of Custody applications; manage user queries, Monitor and handle production tickets and Service Requests, Problem management and Contingency management.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the team leader in Singapore and Global team. The ideal candidate should be technically astute, well organized, and proactive and be comfortable discussing issues with business and technical users at all levels. They also need to possess great multitasking skills.

The support team work shifts during the day in order for the team to provide on-site cover between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. The candidate must be willing to participate in the weekday rota and weekend support rota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide active user support for issues or queries raised by E-mail to Support Distributed list for application handled

  • Provide resolution and/or temporary workaround for user queries

  • Provide in-depth analysis for issues or probable software bugs reported by users

  • Perform Daily Health check and publish status report at Start of day

  • Participate/execution of COB Test exercises

  • Daily and Weekend wellness report during shift hours

  • Follow-up with Shared technology environment (STE) for infrastructure failures including crisis management (conference calls, co-ordination, user/management/escalation, impact assessment)

  • Provide Operational readiness sign-off for production environment

  • Seek and retain client approval for every production access

  • Monitoring of End of Day activities when required

  • Maintain Operational Run book, COB guide, escalation procedures, and other known error database containing steps for resolution in Knowledge Management portal etc.

  • Work in a global support model doing timely shift handover

  • Be accountable to ensure stability, efficiency and effectiveness of support services at L1-L2 scope

  • Work closely with both regional and local team to ensure tactical and strategic direction for the group is followed

  • Actively participate in continuous improvements projects and innovation to streamline efficiency and increasing productivity

  • Adhering to compliance, regulatory and information security policies

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Application Support:

  • 4-7 years’ experience working in a support environment

  • Understanding of ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, Change management

  • L2 Production support experience with strong analytical skills

  • SQL

  • 3-4 years’ experience

  • Databases Products - Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle

  • Programming Languages: Microsoft C#Net and/or VBNET

Systems:

  • 3-4 years’ experience

  • Knowledge of MQ Series, NDM / IBM Connect::Direct

  • Programming Languages: Microsoft C#Net and/or VBNET

  • ITRS Monitoring tool knowledge (preferred)

Personal:

  • Ability to communicate well verbally and written at all levels

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Self-motivating

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to learn new skills quickly with little supervision
