Description

The Consumer Product Approval Committee (CPAC) Administrator supports the CPAC Chair and Coordinator with CPAC related matters, in line with the Global CPAC Standard and any addendums.

The Primary Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, assisting with the following:

  • Timely confirming and maintaining a record of the rationale of business level processes is consistent with the standard when designating initiatives as Covered Initiatives

  • Ensuring that the Committee is aware of Covered Initiative that have been confirmed for CPAC review in advance to ensure timely approvals

  • Ensuring that the Business Sponsor has reviewed the initiative with the relevant functional SMEs who are not members of the Committee (e.g. Insurance Head) and determining if such SMEs need to attend the CPAC meeting

  • Pre-screening Covered Initiatives to ensure documentation is comprehensive

  • Evaluating initiatives for Alternate Handling and proposing to the Chair for approval

  • Reviewing previous approval of the corresponding Business Level Committees or Regional CPAC as applicable

  • Establishing the timeline for receipt and distribution of material / documentation from the sponsor providing ample time for review by CPAC prior to the meeting

  • Evaluating initiatives for any legal / regulatory or confidentiality sensitivities through consultation with CPAC legal / regulatory representatives

  • Documenting meeting minutes and circulating for CPAC review

  • Monitoring Approval Conditions for completion

  • aintaining a log of all CPAC reviews including decisions, conditions, and follow-up items

  • Maintaining formal documentation of CPAC proceedings, which includes:

  • Covered Initiative Forms (Appendix A and Control Functions Form)

  • Minutes for CPAC Meetings

  • Follow-Up and Conclusion Memos if necessary

  • Documentation of completion of all follow-up items

  • Proper evaluation of CPAC / no CPAC review determination

  • Any other material information

  • -Maintaining a log of all Covered Initiative Assessment Forms submitted by countries and regional businesses, in line with the frequency determined by the CPAC Chair / Coordinator

  • Act as Regional Administrator of SharePoints and systems (e.g. IPAS) associated with Asia CPAC matters

  • Providing monthly summary reports to Global and Regional CPAC Chairs and Coordinators

  • Participate in various Working Groups where necessary to review requirements related to compliance with Global CPAC standards and/or any other Citi-wide policies that impact Citi processes

  • Support CPAC related audits

  • Assume Ad-hoc assignments and projects from the CPAC Chair and Coordinator

Qualifications

  • Basic University degree

  • 6 to 8 years banking experience in operational risk and control functions, or other related areas

  • Knowledge of risk management and control function processes related to end to end management of consumer products is desirable

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with strict adherence to deadlines

  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to interact with senior management and liaise with teams across time zones

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid work experience in handling analysis and presentation of project progress

  • Strong in process management and control concepts

  • Proactive and problem solving

  • Disciplined, self-motivated, independent, mature and willing to work overtime / under pressure

  • Strong computer based skills particularly in Excel / PowerPoint
