JOB TITLE: Assistant Procurement Manager - Global Flavour & Fragrance

JOB LOCATION: Singapore

RELOCATION TERMS: Local terms only

Summary of the role:

The successful candidate will be supporting the material supply strategies for Asia for the Fragrance portfolio across all categories, with an additional focus on Laundry, HHC and Oral global sourcing strategies from category perspective.

You are expected to be a self-starter, who is enthusiastic and dependable to manage and implement large impact and complex projects across all categories and markets and act as first-point of contact for activities that directly fall under your remit.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Lead and manage global innovation, value improvement and supply stability projects, specifically focusing on the Laundry, HHC and Oral categories and the Asia region, whilst interacting with multiple functional stakeholders

  2. Developing and implementing material strategies, ensuring global strategies can be translated to specific market requirements

  3. Develop robust relationships with key suppliers in Asia to ensure alignment of all business activities between Unilever and supplier contacts, whilst managing internal stakeholders and associated changes of business priorities

  4. Responsibility for managing all reporting of VIP savings, contract management and CLM, forecasting and pricing data management

  5. Lead a cross-category global work-stream such as quality & service, resilience, specifications or other

Challenges:

  1. Support a complex Fragrances portfolio, across multiple markets and categories. Strategic influencing skills are required.

  2. Balance conflicting priorities, including savings and supply security projects, negotiations, innovation projects, forecasting processes.

  3. A strong analytical ability is required to work with data. Need to be organized and detail-oriented. Clear and accurate in providing information to internal stakeholders and suppliers.

  4. Work with Category and Market Procurement on identifying material requirements for global negotiations, analyze annual portfolio spend data.

  5. Gather Market Intelligence, research and understand supply market dynamics, conduct benchmarking exercises. Support quarterly material price forecasting process.

  6. Negotiate medium size/complex contracts for existing suppliers outside Core 4

Professional Skills

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills required

  • Ability to manage challenging agenda and workload

  • Internal and external stakeholder management and influencing is a key activity

Education & Training:

  • BA/BS University Degree

  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Interspec, SAP, SRS, BPC, CLM.

Work Experience:

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in any of the following areas: Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Marketing
