Identifies, pursues, and secures profitable business opportunities through new applications of base business products / technology and the utilization of adjacent technology. Develop strategy for the Corning’s growth plans in South East Asia.
Develop local sales and marketing strategies to deliver on Corning’s growth plans for South East Asia
In partnership with Corning businesses conduct local market planning and analysis including 5 year plan, local market forecasting, and competitive intelligence
Collaborates with S&T in particular the Emerging Innovation Group to share and mutually leverage each other’s understanding of current and potential market and technology opportunities.
Conducts early stage opportunity assessments to prioritize business development efforts.
Leads the development of, or assists with developing, the business case, value proposition, and initial pricing strategy for products or programs through early stages of innovation until the full transition to the appropriate business team
Participate in divisions’ technology strategy and development by providing critical input on regional technology trends, risks and opportunities. Validate roadmaps with customers.
Develop and maintain a regional network of thought leaders for Corning’s targeted industries, academia and/or government organizations
Deputise for the General Manager in his absence
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
Minimum 10 years work experience principally in a customer facing roles or/and general management
Hunter mentality to uncover and capture new business opportunities
Work experience in business development, marketing or product line management.
Proven track record in strategy formulation and execution contributing to significant business growth
Bachelor’s Degree – Technical and/or Business Administration Desired
Work experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Development.
Work experience in Multi-national company and matrix environment
