Job Description

  • This is a cluster leadership role overseeing logistics operations in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, The scope includes Bulk and Packed Lubricants and Greases, from the end of production line, through to deliveries made to end customers, managed through 3PL logistics service providers and freight forwarders.

  • This role is also responsible for managing import/export operations ensuring that the team complies with Shell Trade Compliance framework and local customs legislation requirements.

  • The role is also highly commercial and will expect strong interface with Sales & Marketing and OTC teams to jointly develop growth strategies for this exciting cluster.

  • There will be a continuous need to calibrate our capabilities vs. market and customer trends, segmenting our services in a fit for purpose manner to derive greatest value and competitiveness for our organization.


•Leads and has direct line responsibility for Country/Cluster Logistics operations in meeting objectives for safety, environmental responsibility, customer focus, efficiency and effectiveness, including full T&R responsibility.

•Challenges current business practices, methodology and procedures through the application of continuous improvement and best practice techniques and knowledge.

•Contract manages on day to day 3PL cluster logistics operations, hold routine reviews ensuring agreed KPIs levels are satisfactory, efficiency is being constantly increased and ongoing issues are being addressed

•Experienced Logistics Professional that is highly commercial and can lead a complex and diverse team across the cluster

•Responsible for logistics HSSE standards implementation such as Road Transport guide, Global Safe Warehousing Operating Standards, and Fork Lift Truck policy standards

•Leads selection and management of 3rd party service providers for warehousing and transport, in collaboration with Contract Manager and C&P

•Responsible for the adherence to Regional Logistics, Trade Compliance, and Delivery Promise policies

•Works with Planning organization to operationalize agreed delivery plans that meet customer demand at lowest possible cost, through resource planning and event management in the S&OP process

•Works with the Regional IBV manager and Excellence Manager to implement cross functional improvement initiatives that cover the entire Supply Chain Operations organization

•Develops, manages and motivates diverse country/cluster logistics team to ensure that the required competencies are in place to meet current and future business needs, championing a learning culture in the logistics organization. Ensure all managers have required technical excellence to carry out their role, and ensure suitable succession plans are in place

•Ability to collaborate and build strong partnership with other supply chain functions and S&M to establish tactics and strategy for building stronger logistics capabilities to grow the cluster’s lubes business more profitably
