CREDIT CONTROL MANAGEMENT UNIT:

  • Function: Collections Manager

Job Description:

  • Responsible for all collections activities within CCMU

  • Ensuring all collections processes and strategies are carried out diligently with conformance to GCCFRP, Global Consumer Debt Best Practices and Local Regulations

  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how own area collectively integrates to contribute to achieving overall business goals

  • Ensure performance tracking to Annual plan on NCL. Ensure target settings are in line with NCL Plan. Track each segment and sub segment of collections performance

  • Awareness of local laws and regulations concerning Collateral Management and Accounting

  • Awareness of sensitivities involved in Repossession of Assets and exercise due diligence while conducting Repossession

  • Manages staffing requirements to meet operational needs. Coaches staff; manages performance; makes compensation decisions; manages staff career development

  • Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area to resolve issues

  • Ensuring all staffs work towards and excel in their portfolio performance as well as productivity measurements

  • Consistently review all collections strategies and processes are sound and in line with Risk and Regional strategic requirements

  • Ensuring active information sharing inter departments namely marketing, Risk, Acquisitions etc.

  • Designs new work procedures, analyzes complex and variable issues with significant departmental impact

  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations

  • Directly impacts the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures; influences resource planning

  • Persuades and influences others through strong communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties

Skillset:

  • Desirably minimum of 5 years collections related activities

  • Advanced Collection & Legal framework

  • Project Management skills

  • Good communication and diplomacy skills are required to persuade and influence others; may negotiate with external parties

  • Good Leadership Skills (Leading Teams)

  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking and Input

Experience:

  • Intermediate to senior level experience in a related role with commensurate people management experience

  • Desirably minimum of 5 years collections related activities
