Volvo Group Commercial Aftersales Manager - Soft Products in Singapore, Singapore

As part of the Asia Pacific Cluster organisation reporting to – Director Asia Pacific Region – Volvo Bus, the group wishes to employ a Commercial Aftersales Manager – Soft Products as part of a small regional office.

Based in Singapore, and reporting to Director – Aftermarket, this manager level position will allow the successful candidate to take responsibility for the management of soft sales support to the Volvo Bus business throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Core responsibilities include:

  • Create an environment of co-operation between markets within the Asia Pacific area and develop “cross area” strategies to ensure the most efficient use of best practice and sharing of aftermarket commercial strategy.

  • Develop and communicate strategic direction in the area of Commercial Aftersales and Soft Products to meet objectives for Volvo Bus.

  • Assist in tender and contract reviews across the Asia Pacific Region.

  • To develop the Volvo bus parts business to ensure year on year growth including support for Volvo’s Bus dealer network and sales to major Government and private customers.

  • To support the commercial development of service agreements and promote and market their use in the Asia Pacific region.

  • Develop on-line customer products such as the customer web portal and the commercial management of this business.

  • Assist in the development of the connected services business in Asia Pacific and ensure commercial strategy allows for sustained development and growth of this business.

  • Coordinate reporting of all areas related to Aftermarket operations in Asia Pacific.

  • Participate in warranty management processes as required.

This role therefore requires an individual with the ability manage a number of functional areas within the organisation and represents a genuine regional management opportunity for the right person. A sound understanding of Volvo Bus products, tools and the aftermarket offers is preferred.

  • Organisational and People skills.

  • Cultural understanding of different cultures throughout the Asia Pacific Region.

  • Understanding of bus manufacturing/chassis assembly operation

  • Business certificate or degree in Marketing and/or Business.
