Overview: The Server Portfolio Business Manager (PBM) would lead the Server portfolio of products for Asia Pacific and Japan. This is a regional role that would require strong understanding of the Server market, emerging technologies and usage models for Servers. The Server PBM will have product line and business management responsibilities including conceptualizing & driving Server programs, market opportunity analysis, competitive analysis, customer usage insights, product development planning, pricing and launch management.
Responsibilities: * Identify market opportunities for Servers; analyze growth areas and market gaps by region and customer type * Understand competitive products and gaps in offering; conceptualize products that would be competitively advantaged. * Develop business case for new Server products including volume, revenue and profitability estimates based on market, pricing and share assumptions * Develop regional launch plans including SKU development, pricing, forecasting and supply management to maximize product success. * Work closely the global product development teams to influence the roadmap and ensure APJ requirements are represented in the global offering * Support product launch and provide sustaining efforts to enable quoting, validation, pricing, order entry, and fulfillment of products under management via internal sales tool and external web stores * Develop a region wide GTM plan and enable sales with the appropriate training and support * Drive the development and communications of product definition and solution plans to optimize the company’s Server portfolio * Understand and influence the marketing and sales team * Applies broad knowledge of company’s product/service capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product/service opportunities. * Oversees the analysis and evaluation of key market statistics define business.
o MBA in Sales & Marketing would be preferable o 10-12 years of experience in product management and/or marketing of Enterprise IT products o Strong record of cross functional leadership and achievement in previous roles o Experience in product management with an OEM or category management for technology products, software or solutions o Excellent knowledge of the technology market along with ability to develop business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for solutions o Strong data analysis experience
