Purpose of the role

Work across landmark systems LRS (Vision) & ATS in delivering an efficient and accurate final playlist.

Ensure placement of promotions ‘Turner Sales’, & sponsorship; alongside Commercial Ops & Strategy teams.

Ensure programs start on time, asruns are performed and correct final placement of all playlist events to objective.

Monitor output and flag any inconsistencies to manager. Be the ‘eyes and ears’ for assigned channel.

Attend all relevant meetings; programming and operational, contributing to ideas and the success of our brands.

Ensure finalization and delivery of the daily playlist to playout and follow through on log queries/amends.

Major Activities

Channel Presentation (30%)

Use systems efficiently in delivering the best possible final schedule to playout on a daily basis, ensuring all items are correctly inserted and RFTX. This will involve building of skeleton schedules and manual placement of all presentation items in LRS against campaigns entered in ATS; Next Menus, Idents, Bumpers, Squeeze Credits, Graphics etc. The desired result being the best possible looking channel on-air capable of driving audiences.

Scheduling Accuracy (30%)

As the final schedule handler before playout a key task is to complete the performance of accurate final checks against objectives. It’s vital promo and commercial material is correctly presented; working alongside Promo Strategy and Ad Opts team to ensure this.

Inventory Management (20%)

Act as a channel expert by advising on airtime solutions and contributing to strategy tasks against objectives. A pro-active, collaborative approach with the wider team is needed. As an inventory managerof pres items the role expects overseeing & requesting the availability of key assets.

Channel Monitoring (10%)

View all on-air material prior to scheduling and regularly monitor final output as the ‘eyes and ears’ for assgined channels. Work to esure no clashes of relevent promotional messages and flag any inconisistancies in media strategy working proactively as part of the wider team.

Reporting and Analysis (5%)

Monitor assigned channel ratings daily, and run reports in TechEdge as requested to share results. As the final strategy handler of the schedule, it’s important to have visibility on the how the final time out process has impacted planned strategy. In addition, sponsorship, Turner sales and other transmission reports may also be required.

Commercial Ops and Team Support (5%)

With Ad Ops team, work to ensure smooth flow of commercial elements into schedules. Checks to ensure correct break timings and that hourly and daily minutage restrictions are adhered to. As Commercial Ops functions are vital to delivering revenue and this role may also need to provide support to these functions flexibly when needed. It may also be asked that support is provided for Promotion Strategy and other operational functions when required.

Selection criteria

Broadcast / media industry experience

Broadcast systems experience (ideally Vision)

Strong English communication skills

Proficient in M Office, Excel, PPT

Media Planning

TV Ratings analysis

Interest in either; Kids TV, Korean Drama, English Drama (please state in application)

Communication, Positive ‘can do’ attitude
