CRM APAC Sales Director


Position Purpose

Cargill Risk Management (CRM) is a global leader in providing customized risk solutions to customers in food, feed, energy, metal and institutional finance industries. We are a growth business that works to partner with customers to develop risk solutions across 100 different commodities and currencies. Currently, CRM is working with over 1,200 commercial customers and thousands of farmers/ranchers around the globe. We strive to develop partnerships with all customers to meet their risk management needs while providing world class customer service.

CRM is looking to hire an experienced individual responsible for creating, maintaining and prospecting customers thorugh the sales effectiveness process. The individual will focus mostly on the Asia Pacific region in our Agricultural product line. The highly motivated, self driven sales person will work with current customers and new prospects to initially understand the customers business. They will then work with the customer to create a risk management solution that fits their strategy and bias. This individual will have excellent presentation skills and the hunger and drive to meet sales and revenue targets. The commodity focus will be but not limited to grains, softs and currencies. Finally, the individual will work with both internal Cargill business as well as external direct relationship customers

Principal Accountabilities

Build and drive sales and revenues with external customers as well as internal business partners. Maintain and grow current customer sales budgets and targets. Identify and prospecting new customers. Create new opportunities and strive for innovation. Ability to present Cargill Risk Management value proposition across all hierarcial levels. Interact with all departments within CRM. Think quickly in a dynamic environment.

Other Requirements

Ability to travel up to 40%


Education, Experience, Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years proven sales experience in food, agriculture or OTC sales industries.

  • Strong presentation skills and persuasiveness.

  • Team player and customer oriented.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to build relationships with multiple levels within an organization.

  • Strong math skills, problem solving skills & attention to detail..

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Related Field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with options and OTC deriviatives.

  • Display leadership and high level of professionalism with external & internal customers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
