Job Overview To perform routine administrative duties in support of specific and on-going departmental projects. Receives routine work assignments from department personnel as tasks are dictated by departmental needs and departmental/project timetables and milestones. Interfaces with department personnel to gather and compile information for routine reports. Tracks and maintains project files, timetables, and correspondences. Arranges departmental project meetings and coordinates project activities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Gathers and compiles information
Generates routine project reports
Creates and maintains project files
Arranges departmental project meetings and types meeting minutes
Performs copying, filing and scheduling for department personnel
Responds to routine inquiries from department personnel regarding the status of departmental projects
Prepares materials for presentations
Closely supervised by exempt-level departmental personnel and receives detailed instructions on new assignments. This position supports a departmental function rather than supporting a specific individuals administrative needs.
Minimum Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of high school diploma. Minimum of 2 years prior office/clerical work experience. Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills. Basic knowledge of Eudora, Microsoft Word & Excel, Meeting Maker and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of department/division policies, practices and products.
