The tip of our digital transformation spear, Digital Advisors provide industry-proven business transformational advice, combined with technology expertise from Microsoft’s worldwide network, to accelerate the definition, prioritisation, delivery, and adoption of outcome-based solutions that help clients achieve their strategic objectives. With business sponsorship, they develop relationships with key customer business executives to help customers translate business opportunities into real digital transformation:

  • Providing orchestration, impact, and influence in the development of a Digital Transformation strategy,

  • By performing an assessment of the existing business and technology imperatives, goals, and challenges,

  • Using design-led thinking and Digital Maturity Models to develop a Digital Transformation Journey,

  • And using a structured methodology to drive a program of change resulting in measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

The broad scope of responsibility of this role requires a solid understanding of both Business and IT strategy, a principled approach to broader architectural challenges and opportunities, and a strong grasp of business, technology and solutions, as well as strong leadership and people skills. Requirements for this high-visibility, high-impact role include:

  • Degree (Computer Science, Social Science or Business), and/or equivalent experience

  • 15+ years of professional experience, of which at least 8-10 years related IT consulting and/or Business experience

  • Broad experience and understanding of the technology industry and some other industries (e.g. banking, retail, public service), acquired in a consulting role and/or managing technology-enabled business change or related activities

  • Proven record of delivering business value from IT at an executive level, bringing the benefits of technology to solve business issues while also managing costs, risk and resources

  • Ability to understand the needs of non-technical customers, to conceptualize, launch and deliver technology-enabled business change projects

  • Leadership qualities and ability to coordinate physical and virtual resources and initiatives

  • Executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills, good listener, ability to provide a trusted voice at the decision-making table and be an advocate of Microsoft’s vision and value proposition

  • Ability to incorporate industry knowledge and horizontal solutions in developing Digital Transformation programs with business decision makers

  • Desire and capability to support customer execution of their value realisation plans through oversight, tracking, and reporting

  • Specialty skills including Inclusive Design / Design Thinking, Digital Transformation, Organizational Design, Governance, and Change Management

  • Travel is an integral expectation of this position as the needs of our customers and our business demand
