Position Summary

The

Director, APAC Education & Research Industry Solutions position within

Global Education and Research Industry Solutions Group is an individual contributor

on a global team responsible for the solutions development and sales support into

the Education & Research segment. Specific focus will be on solution

development and product positioning, with emphasis on Oracle Cloud Applications

and Technology. This includes developing sales kits to help Oracle and partner sales

understand and articulate the business value messages of Oracle’s Cloud

Solutions. The candidate will also work closely with Product Management and

Marketing on product details and roadmaps; work with various lines of business

on the value of Oracle Cloud. He/she will collaborate across the lines of

business to define sales strategy and support execution of sales campaigns,

establish cadence with regional leaders, build and represent the brand of

Global Industry Solutions Group by delivering excellent sales enablement He/she

will lead the efforts of identifying sales methods and materials as well as

leading the development, presentation and sales of solution value propositions,

as well as identify and develop strategic alignment with partners.

The ideal

candidate has experience performing solution development of Cloud applications

and technology in the Research Industry. It is preferred that the candidate

have 10 plus years experience with Oracle cloud applications and technologies.

The successful candidate should be comfortable supporting regional

teams doing business development and sales in a highly competitive

environment at all levels of the business and IT, around the globe.

The job

responsibility includes developing and providing the value proposition of Oracle

in Education & Research. Preferred candidates will be able to

demonstrate the ability to manage, build & sell total solutions, be

guiders, motivators, self starters and know how to work with various internal

& external teams to win business.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the

application of advanced technical/business skills in areas of solution selling.

Detailed PositionDescription

  • Defineglobal go-to-market strategy in support of regional sales campaigns andactivities for the Education & Research industry.

  • Develops Education & Research

industry solutions and product positioning for applicable SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.

  • Responsible for all aspects of

solution development lifecycle Including

Industry Solution Accelerators/Demos, joint solution offers, and industry

certifications.

  • Identifies and delivers industry

solutions/product development requirements with sales/business case

justification for target markets.

  • Manage/Leadvirtual team to enable sales. Hold review calls with the xLOB sales teamsfor product pillars or focus countries to align sales enablement, demandgeneration, partner recruitment, and industry revenue.

  • Deliversales training to support Industry Solutions, Sales Campaigns, and ProductPositioning with Sales and Partners.

  • EnsuresxLOB territory/account planning.

  • Presentsstrategy and solution overview to high-level clients and industryconference attendees.

  • Workswith Product Development, Marketing, and Sales to ensure the availabilityof solution collateral to support the Education & Research industry.

  • Establishkey relationships with customers, partners and industry analysts.

  • Definetarget markets and recommend market segment solutions and sales strategy.

  • Collaboratewith Product Development and countries sales management across the regionson strategies and high-level tactics to deliver Oracle solutions thatsupport the Research industry needs.

  • Developnew business opportunities and partner relationships to grow pipeline.

  • Trainaccount teams on industry trends, solutions, and consultative selling.

  • Buildsand maintains a network and up to date specific industry or productknowledge.

  • Leadindustry discussion with analysts.

  • Supportplanning and participate in marketing events and external forums.

  • Contributeto Education & Research industry community.

PreferredQualifications

  • Acknowledged authority within the

Corporation.

  • Provides leadership and expertise in

the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the

leading edge of technology.

  • 12 years applicable experience

preferred.

  • Subject matter expertise in Research

industry/product space.

  • Knowledge of key industry leaders and

management.

  • Knowledge of Oracle competition.

  • Presentation and product

demonstration experience.

  • Previous consultative selling

experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication, negotiating,

and closing skills with prospects and customers.

  • Travel required.

  • BA/BS degree in related field.

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.

As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.
