VMware Director, Cloud Services in Singapore, Singapore
The Director, Cloud Services will have responsibility for accelerating the sales of VMW technology through Cloud Services providers that includes all parts of the VMW product family. He or she will report to the SVP, GM of APJ.
In this role you will have to coordinate across multiple teams to sell and build VMware's cloud services bringing our enterprise software to market.
As Director of Cloud Services you will be responsible for developing our Cloud Services across APJ, building and managing a specialised sales and pre-sales unit to grow VMware’s Cloud Services faster than the market. This is a leadership role that requires a deep understanding of software sales, customer’s needs, leading a unit of experienced specialists in sales campaigns and the passion to get things done. You will routinely present to executive assemblies both internally and externally.
Sell the Cloud Services providers on the adoption of our products and associated services
Grow Cloud Services business faster than the market
Build and lead a specialist sales and pre-sales team
Establish thought leadership for Cloud Services providers by working with Marketing
Demonstrate VMware’s core sales teams and partner network to accelerate go-to-market
Manage complex enterprise sales campaigns
Ensure required reporting and forecasting are completed as required in a timely manner
Work with the core sales team to prioritize target accounts and prospects
Develop a sales strategy and account plan for each key account jointly with the core sales team
Experience with enterprise software selling into Enterprise accounts in APJ
Experience with Service providers
Consistent track record leading specialist sales teams at a regional level
Solid software sales experience
Consistent performance history of quota over-achievement in a highly opposing environment
Attested ability to establish relationships and effectively sell to senior executives and CIOs
Experience conducting a team of professionals in sales campaigns that include sales executives, field SE’s, inside sales, field marketing, professional services, etc
Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to build and present high quality product demonstrations to executive audiences
Strong customer-facing and relationship building skills
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and manage multiple large opportunities
Excellent communicator, both written and spoken
