Job Description

General Ledger Senior Accountant with supervisory role

The activities of this position consist primarily of:

  • Managing the General Ledger for several legal entities in the EMEA region

  • Managing their monthly close process as well as the internal and statutory reporting activities

  • Maintaining proper reconciliation of all G/L accounts and integrity of financial statements

  • Supervising the processing activities of our outsourced group of accountants in India

  • Confirming proper treatment and compliance of all accounting transactions and policies

  • Coordinating with the in-country Finance Managers for proper accounting at shared services level for their sites specific activities such as revenues contracts, advertising contracts, accruals etc.

  • Coordinating with other stakeholders (tax, treasury, corporate accounting) for proper consideration of corresponding transactions

  • Analyzing and reviewing the monthly financial statements with the respective Finance Managers

  • Implementing various corporate accounting policies and procedures (US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley)
