Job Purpose:

This is a Senior Web UI developer role for the Equity Derivatives - Risk Delivery group. Explore a unique and exciting opportunity to work on some very cutting edge technology and be a part of the transformation within Equity Derivatives as the group rebuilds the entire technology stack servicing the business. This is a high growth opportunity within a global team to build a new Trade Lifecycle automation platform. The platform aims to provide a structured solution to managing scheduled & unscheduled events in a pre-emptive, streamlined & consistent manner that enables faster on boarding of events & supports live risk.

Job Background/context:

  • Keen sense of design and aesthetic to produce modern, UI's that are attractive, flexible and intuitive to use from a UX perspective

  • Designing and building user interfaces in latest WEB UI technologies

  • The ability to design and implement high performance controls and other application infrastructure to support the application

  • Adapt quickly, come up with innovative and creative solutions with a knack for problem solving to meet the technical challenges and complex business requirements.

  • Should have experience working in Equity Derivatives in a similar setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Display a high level of technical competence and expertise both locally within the Lifecycle team and in the wider Risk Services world. Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues and be recognized as someone able to solve complicated problems using appropriate technology and techniques. Inspire this behavior in others.

  • Working alongside global team to deliver the future state architectural direction of the Trade Lifecycle automation platform

  • Liaising with the user community, in order to deliver solutions to complex problems in relation to the Lifecycle business processes.

  • Developing a collaborative relationship with the Singapore development team

  • Representing the development team to the user community (Sales, Trading and Middle Office) where required

Qualifications – Internal

Experience:

This role will have some interaction with the business user community front to back, i.e. Sales, Traders, Middle Office and Operations (Docs and Settlements) , as well as working closely with other technology teams globally such as Data Fabric, Batch team and Reference Data services. Therefore, a good understanding of finance and basics of derivatives in particular in terms of the Trade Lifecycle would be preferred. Analysis skills to gather functional requirements would also be required. Similar experience within a front-end system on lifecycle management would be a big plus. Previous experience of front-office businesses in the financial industry is essential.
