Job Description

This is a General Ledger Supervisor role to support financial activities for our EMEA region. The role will be based in Singapore.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the G/L (General Ledger) for several legal entities in the EMEA region

  • Managing their monthly close process, as well as internal and statutory reporting activities

  • Maintaining proper reconciliation of all G/L accounts and integrity of financial statements

  • Supervising the processing activities of our outsourced group of accountants in India

  • Confirming proper treatment and compliance of all accounting transactions and policies

  • Coordinating with the in-country Finance Managers for proper accounting at Shared-Services level for their sites-specific activities - such as revenues contracts, advertising contracts, accruals etc

  • Coordinating with other stakeholders (tax, treasury, corporate accounting) for proper consideration of corresponding transactions

  • Analyzing and reviewing the monthly financial statements with the respective Finance Managers

  • Implementing various corporate accounting policies and procedures (US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley)

QUALIFICATIONS/ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8-10 years of financial accounting experience, coupled with strong hands-on knowledge on General Ledger

  • CFA/CPA qualification is mandatory

  • Candidates with Audit and/or Shared Services backgrounds are highly desired

  • Understanding of US GAAP, SOX methodologies would be advantageous

  • Ability to collaborate with the Controllers team, in a cohesive & structured manner. Supervisory experience would be ideal in this role, in order to lead the offshore resources

  • Experience working in a matrix team structure in a multinational company

  • Hands-on experience supporting EMEA markets is seen as highly desirable, but we are open to considering applicants with strong multi-geo/regional experience in APAC
