Summary:

The Asia Consumer Bank (including O&T) comprises 38,000 employees across the Retail Bank, Cards & Unsecured Lending, Customer Franchise, In-Business Risk, CBORC, Commercial, and O&T, and spans 17 markets.

This role is responsible for conceiving and driving product-specific priorities that align with strategic business and talent priorities, serving as a key advisor to senior Consumer leaders in the region, and partnering with Country HR on execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working through large scale people initiatives, talent assessment and development

  • Enabling business strategy through effective talent management and enhanced Manager Capability

  • Lead business and HR projects / initiatives from a regional perspective

  • Observing and anticipating people trends country-by-country and translating those into HR priorities

  • Providing senior leaders thoughtful and effective coaching on people management and organizational issues including organizational design, change management, and overall effectiveness

  • Lead change initiatives, particularly deriving from organisation change and effectiveness

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Seasoned HR professional who has experience interfacing, coaching and influencing at the senior manager level

  • Exceptional partnership skills both with the business and within the HR function

  • Strong business acumen, advisory, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Strong analytical ability with capability of identifying business trends and opportunities

  • Ability to influence outcomes and strategic direction without having direct reporting authority

  • HR Advisor / partnering experience with demanding stakeholder group

  • Able to lead independently in the face of ambiguity

  • 15+ years of hands-on experience in a human resources function in a fast-paced, multi-function environment

  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or related field

  • Masters / MBA preferred
