Job Description

The GR Analyst and Administrator will as directed by the Senior Director of APAC GR take a lead role in conducting research and preparing reports on regulatory and policy developments that pertain to PayPal’s business in digital payments and Fintech. The GR Analyst and Administrator will also provide administrative coordination, planning and organizational support to the Senior Director of APAC GR and the APAC GR Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Government Relations team members to accelerate long-term growth plan, business planning and operations management

  • Operates as proxy for Senior Director of APAC Government Relations in business operations

  • Drive collaboration across domains to maximize efficiency and effectiveness

  • Work with Senior Director, Government Relations to prepare leadership presentations, operations reviews, strategy reviews, set agendas, and drive appropriate follow-up.

  • Conduct research on policy issues, principally related to electronic payments and eCommerce.

  • Monitor media and industry publications and prepare summaries on issues that may affect the business interests of PayPal in the APAC region.

  • Monitor websites of relevant government bodies in the APAC region, including national financial services regulators, multi-lateral government bodies such as ASEAN, APEC, ADB, AIIB, IMF and World Bank – prepare summaries of relevant issues identified.

  • Attend forums and industry events as directed and prepare summaries of issues and findings relevant to PayPal.

  • Help to manage procurement and retainer contracts and relationships with external vendors and consultants and act as their initial contact point.

  • Assist with implementation of GR programs, such as research studies, symposium and educational workshops being conducted by PayPal staff or external vendors.

  • Work with the GR team on goal management and tracking.

  • Manage the flow of information from senior leadership to the rest of the team, including planning and preparation for events

  • Assist with projects/assignments as directed by the Senior Director, Government Relations

  • Diary ownership and management for the Senior Director, Government Relations

  • Liaison with EA’s and Senior Leaders around the Globe to enable effective Operating Rhythms across multiple time zones

  • Document and file management for the team

  • Management of expense accounts, tracking of expenditure and management of expense processing

  • Responsibility for travel plans for the team and management of the team travel budget

  • Preparation and delivery of requirements for global requests
