Job Description

The APAC Bank Transfer Product Head is responsible for building, deploying, maintenance, and ultimately the adoption of all of PayPal’s banking platforms across APAC. The Bank Transfer Product Head will lead a team of PM’s based in Singapore, and work across all of PayPal’s bank partners and report in to the Head of Bank Transfer Product in San Jose.

  • Own the overall APAC bank transfer product strategy, to deliver new payment methods, optimize costs, and develop a best in class bank platform.

  • Lead and manage the team, to educate, train and motivate. To ensure challenging jobs are defined enabling your team to develop, goals are set, guidance is given and most importantly the team is successful in delivering against key strategies and KPI’s

  • Own the APAC bank platform, and team. Core responsibilities include:

  • Own the resolution of end to end Bank platform issues.

  • Work cross-functionally with other product managers, product development, CS, operations, vendors, and other internal teams on resolving complex live issues and to enhance the customer experience.

  • Closely work with the bank partners to review PayPal’s performance against the market.

  • Conduct Quarterly Business reviews with the bank partners to continuously improve PayPal’s performance and leverage partner’s local market expertise to gain the regional product knowledge.

  • Develop and enhance analytics to track and manage Product performance relative to internal goals.

  • Launch relevant bank payment products (direct debits, withdrawals, Top Up etc.) in different countries by closely working with the different bank partners. Leverage existing bank payments systems including ACH, wires, online banking, bill pay, and related systems.

  • Lead product design and development in consultation with stakeholders such as User Interface Design, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Project Management.

  • Partner with local markets to get a better understanding of the banking landscape and the market changes that would impact PayPal, being proactive in making the PayPal systems compliant with the market changes.

Basic Qualifications

The position requires strong knowledge of local bank systems like ACH, Faster Payments, Direct Debits, BillPay, online banking, core banking etc. The position also requires strong product management background in bringing new products to market. The ideal candidate has a detailed knowledge of payment systems in general including card systems. Knowledge of PayPal is a plus.
