Position Description

The Role:

You are responsible for driving investor service through managing, overseeing, enabling and driving the Investor Value Program. In addition, this could be accomplished through interacting with the market in a particular practice - region. This will be done by targeting various investor segments and over time could also include, depending on the asset class, market influencers, intermediaries, banks, financial advisors and industry groups.

The Impact:

You will support the program by mapping out the investor landscape and, through occasional ongoing contact initiatives, better understand investor needs-resulting in a higher degree of service to investors. In addition, you will recommend new thought leadership ideas - market commentaries and relay to the business units, including our macro and research teams. This will be in-line with the global marketing strategy and achieving stronger franchise of S&P Global Ratings thereby creating value for the business.

Your Skills:

You have prior experience in investor communications - service and possess demonstrated strength partnering with internal stakeholders, effective influencing and a very high level of customer service focus. Strong ability to multi-task and be highly flexible meeting demands, both internally and externally. You should have strong interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset and ability to work closely across teams within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement Investor Value Program strategy decided at global level and the lists decided within the practices and - or regions.

  • Support the program development by mapping out investor landscape and understand investor needs by leveraging and harnessing internal - external data sources.

    • Working with analytical team(s), translate global strategy into strategic proactive outreach plans for each investor segment for fulfilment through various modes. (e.g. F2F meeting(s), phone calls, sector research, etc.).
  • Work closely with assigned Senior Portfolio Manager - Analytical teams (if applicable) to execute upon previously decided upon Outreach Plans.

    • Assist in analyzing, prioritizing and recommending activities obtained through meeting reports (filed in MIP) to decipher relevant trends and opportunities.
  • Through periodic interaction with investors, identify their needs and recommend new thought leadership ideas - market commentaries and relay to the business units, including our macro and research teams.

  • Lead meetings with Sector Leads on a weekly - bi-weekly basis to ensure IVP is being executed and solicit feedback on continuous improvement.

  • Organize and lead monthly meetings - huddles with sector teams to discuss IVP specifics (progress, issues, problems, etc.)

  • In conjunction with Senior Portfolio Managers, report results to LAMs - AMs - Sector teams by producing, maintaining and communicating dashboards to help monitor progress and recommend - enable tactical shifts. When needed, obtain their support to improve their team’s performance on the program.

    • Recommend investor events including roundtables to support objectives to provide education and ratings transparency to the market.

    • Coordinate with the Strategic Marketing team in the development of campaign strategies to provide additional insights to the investor community.

    • Operate within the Regulatory and Compliance frameworks laid down by the organization

Requirements:

  • Excellent at collaborating with cross functional teams across the organization

  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations across segments of the organization

  • Demonstrated strength in effective influencing, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong public speaking skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels of the organization

  • A highly motivated self-starter; ability to work independently and creatively, as well as, within a team

  • Demonstrated strong commitment to high levels of customer service

  • Knowledge of fixed income asset management industry-existing relationships a plus.

  • Knowledge of South-Southeast Asia region and debt capital markets.

  • Expertise in using SalesForece and other CRM technology a plus.
