VMware Lead - Global People Development - APJ in Singapore, Singapore

The Lead for Global People Development at Singapore will be a part of the regional APJ GPD team to lead and enable People Development for specific Geographies and businesses in the region

As part of the charter, (s) he will work closely with the Global People Development team, local HR Business Partners and the Business leaders.

The role expectations are:

  • Working closely with business and aligning development needs to learning experiences that are powerful, sustainable and scalable.

  • Enabling business to do more and do better through a consultative mindset of solutioning for people development, engagement and growth.

  • Driving Global leadership programs and solutions (training, performance, top talent, career ladders, promotional processes, values/organizational culture, orientation, etc.) for specific businesses/ geographies in the region.

  • Continually assess organizational strengths and improvement opportunities to drive a consistent future strategy for talent for the Business.

Driving the People Development charter by

  • Being a trusted advisor to the HRBP community in people engagement and development

  • Using data and people connect in providing solutions that are ahead of the curve

  • Facilitating and leading conversations and programs to foster a culture of learning and solutioning for the business.

  • Collaborating with the global team on People programs to support organizational development and the company‚Äôs culture.

Person requirements:

  • Passionate about learning, developing people and enabling them to be better at what they do.

  • Enjoys facilitating learning sessions/ workshops, developing and designing solutions.

  • Able to program manage and lead large - scale interventions

  • Energized by working with diverse people and building alignment for needs and solutions

  • Curious to learn and explore new areas of work and critically evaluate problem statements

  • Confident and articulate to connect with a range of stakeholders.

Education / Experience Requirements:

  • BS/BA/ advanced degree in Organizational Development or related field

  • At least 8 years of diverse HR experience / domain experience in leadership development, facilitation, consulting.

  • Extensive experience conceiving, designing and implementing key HR programs and initiatives

  • Has worked with / in organization(s) with global business operations

  • A seasoned Talent professional with experience in talent management, learning and OD across multiple business lines or a defined geography

  • Experience of the Japan market an advantage
