APL Local Revenue Control Manager in Singapore, Singapore

  • Manage & improve the local surcharge revenue

  • Lead the team globally between functional areas and IT in order to ensure that Pricing and Finance system is functional to support the business requirements to generate accurate local surcharge invoices, provide performance analysis report and monitor the compliance of the HO policy and process of local surcharge

  • Lead the LARA system migration for local surcharge

Key Result Areas

  • Manage & improve the Local Revenue to meet Company target

  • Build the Local Surcharge strategy / policy / process

  • Monitor Local Surcharge performance globally

  • Check the country compliance with the Head Office policy / process

  • Find new opportunities to raise the local surcharge revenue

  • Lead the LARA system migration to ensure all the APL local surcharge can captured and report in the LARA system

Key Accountabilities/Duties

  • Provide strategy and guidance of local surcharge revenue worldwide

  • Benchmark local surcharge tariff among the competitors

  • Lead to review and increase the country local surcharge tariff

  • Define the Local Surcharge policy / process.

  • Monitor country / region compliance with the Head Office policy / process.

  • Provide the Local Surcharge revenue performance analysis to the management

  • Prepare presentation to the Management meeting

  • Prepare the budget of the local surcharge

  • Identify the As-IS and To-Be process for Local Surcharge to prepare the on-boarding of LARA

  • Coordinate with Core LARA project to meet the project milestones

  • Lead the Change Management for the LARA on-boarding.

  • Coordinate with Core LARA project team and country / GSSC for the training.

  • Find new initiatives to increase the local surcharge revenue

  • Provide the AD Hoc analysis per superior

Position requirements

Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business analysis, business management or economics from an established and reputable university is a prerequisite.

Experiences

  • Managing the Revenue / Cost Control

  • Significant working experience in Carrier’s Trade / Pricing or Customer Service functions

  • Project management, prefer to have experience of migration system;

  • Experience at both front line office and regional head office will be preferred.

  • At least 2 years of Managerial experience
