Job Summary:

  • Collateral Management Operations in Singapore performs a service of risk management on behalf of our clients. This typically includes performing collateral management on the back of OTC Derivatives trades between our clients and their counterparties. Once operations are aware of the total exposure positions each day, we subsequently contact each respective counterparty in the form of a “margin call”, depending on whether the particular exposure is in our clients’ favor. Once margin call is confirmed with the counterparty we proceed and agree to book either cash or securities as collateral to cover our exposure

Job Description:

  • Collateral Management

  • Daily processing for ISDA and Repo collateral programs

  • Processing of daily mark-to-market of trades and collaterals

  • Counterparty reporting

  • Execution of margin calls

  • Execution of collateral asset movements

  • Control of collateral positions and corporate action processing

  • Communicate with counterparties, clients, custodians

  • Provide guidance and coaching to the Assistant Managers in more complex or unusual situations

  • Provide Training and Coaching to partners in GPC when transferring new functions

  • Adherence to key processes and control requirement

  • Investigate and reconcile for discrepancies with counterparties valuations

  • Improvement of daily processing to increase efficiency

  • Participation in the implementation of strategic projects and user acceptance testing

Qualifications

Job Skills/Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience of Collateral Management.

  • Work directly with clients to identify and deliver solutions to their requirements

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new clients

  • Ability to communicate enhancement and changes to processes/platforms with partners in IT and work to drive change

  • Be able to work independently and able to deliver under time constraints

  • Ability to identify possible risk and escalate when necessary

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to organize workload to meet various settlement cut off times.

  • Willingness to work long hours where justified, meeting workloads.

  • Effective Team player.

  • PC literate. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to put forward constructive feedback on cases and issues
