Reporting to the Overheads Controller AP, the Assistant Overheads Manager is responsible to provide Regional and local senior management with In-depth analysis of Overheads cost spending and trends, leading to the identification of opportunities and threats and recommendations for appropriate actions to address them.Counsel management on all financial issues with regards to fixed cost that affect business short term and for strategic decisions.

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

Key impact

  • Counsel management on all financial issues related to fixed cost controlling that impacts strategic and short term business decisions

  • Take the lead in managing the financial planning, forecasting and reporting process for the AMEA region.

  • Initiate & drive cost saving programs to support business performance & increase efficiency

  • Prepare analysis and reporting on actual results for senior management including ZBB reporting

  • Provide guidance on further development and enhancement of our financial processes, and databases used for reporting of actual and planning data

  • Prepare scenario modelling and what if analysis, to pre-empt changes in financials by monitoring trends and discussing with business partners

Support impactful decision-making

  • Responsible for the AMEA management reporting process for fixed cost, ensuring all deadlines are met, drafting all review materials for Overheads controller and cluster Leadership Teams

  • Ensure robust monthly review mechanisms enabling improved insights on AMEA performance, analyzing business drivers and incorporate into outlooks and estimates

  • Perform ad hoc analysis

Partner in the Annual Contract and Operational Planning Processes

  • Lead the Annual Contract process for fixed costs, ensuring quality of process, system optimization and transparency of information

  • Ensure quality and timely submission of all AC schedules, coordinating with the operating teams in all the BU’s, ensuring that all deadlines are met

Systems

  • Partner in the optimization of the global overheads tool

  • Ensure hygiene in the cost centre mapping for ZBB reporting

Do you have what it takes?

  • Degree in Business/Finance /Accounting preferably with advanced studies/training (e.g., MBA, MBM)

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent

  • 12 years’ experience working across finance disciplines with a minimum of 2 years in a relevant FP&A function

  • Experience in a fast-paced multinational organization, working in cross-functional, cross-cultural and matrix environments

  • Knowledge of US GAAP, accounting and internal control policies and procedures applicable to an integrated manufacturing and marketing organization

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to influence at all levels

  • Demonstrated results in analysis, accounting, internal controls, business propositions, project management and cross functional team leadership

  • Self driven and accustomed to delivering in a highly pressurized environment

  • Ability to train and impart knowledge
