Reporting to Org. Integration & Transformation Lead, the People Cost Controller, AMEA is responsible to lead the planning and management of AMEA people cost and HR non people cost.
This role will include in-depth analysis of budgets and actual spending to understand the trend, leading to the identification of opportunities and threats and recommendations for appropriate actions to address them. The role will be a business partner to HR enabling the management of org. with a view of delivering the business strategy in the approved cost framework.
Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
Take the lead in managing the planning of people cost for AMEA region.
Support analytics relating to Rewards assumption
Financial “forensics”, target realization and budget management ZBB People cost packages for AMEA region (all functions):
Headcount/FTE reporting and management, including vacancies
Track monthly spend (People and HR Non People) vs. budget and ensure delivery
Development of action plans to deliver savings targets
Ensure HR Leaders have clarity on budget spent and budget left
Work on cost projections and scenarios as needed
Supporting Transformation savings delivery through org. actions, including tracking of restructuring spend and facilitating creating of restructuring budget requests
Support impactful decision-making
Responsible for the AMEA people cost budgeting & reporting process, project management of one of the largest cost element of the P&L to ensure budget data is accurate and enables decision making
Ensure robust monthly review mechanisms enabling improved insights on AMEA people cost, analyzing business drivers and incorporate into outlooks and estimates
Support Overheads group in cost discussions with the Leadership team
Perform ad hoc analysis and ensure accuracy of people reporting
Partner overheads group in input of people cost in global ZBB tool
Support hygiene in the cost centre of employee database and mapping for ZBB reporting
Do you have what it takes?
Degree in Business/Finance /Accounting preferably with advanced studies/training (e.g., MBA, MBM)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
12+ years experience working across finance disciplines with a minimum of 2 years in a relevant FP&A function
Experience in a fast-paced multinational organization, working in cross-functional, cross-cultural and matrix environments
Strong written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to influence at all levels
Demonstrated results in analysis, accounting, internal controls, business propositions, project management and cross functional team leadership
Self-driven and accustomed to delivering in a highly pressurized environment
Ability to train and impart knowledge
Knowledge of US GAAP, accounting and internal control policies and procedures applicable to an integrated manufacturing and marketing organization
