The Communications Solutions Business (CSB) Practice’s mission is to articulate overall HPE value proposition, to consolidate and to articulate sustaining services portfolio from HPE and Partners including third parties SIs, ISVs and NEPs. The CSB Practice also orchestrates related knowledge management and supports Sales/BDM activities.

Roles & responsibilities

CSB Practice Chief Solution Architect:

  • Ensures that implemented IoT product and solutions fulfill requirements by working closely with product generation teams across HPE and along the Product/Solution lifecycle

  • Technology advisor for both IoT Solution and IoT partner program

  • Continuously builds IoT market knowledge plus related standards and technologies

  • Assumes Technical lead or overall architect role, coordinating and interfacing with local and regional teams to develop the overall IoT architect for the customers.

  • Provides and orchestrates technical response to bids

  • Acts as subject matter expert providing direction and guidance to HPE teams

  • Works closely with sales, delivery, product and support teams to evaluate customer requirements, designs technical solutions, prepares statements of work and deploys cost-effective solutions

  • Provides technical sales support

  • Designs, develops and executes demonstrations, trial and Proofs of Concept

  • Create solution proposal, architecture, scope of work, project schedule and relevant estimate, risk and assumption.

  • Good understanding of commercial models and financial complexity in RFx responses to include costing and pricing matters.

Education & experience

  • University or Bachelor's degree; advanced University degree preferable

  • 8 – 15 years’ experience in relevant technical streams

Key knowledge and skills

  • Required to have skills in IoT (Internet of Things) with good solution architecture experience

  • Experience in embedded device programming, for example, C++, Java or Python

  • Experience of C/C++ , Middleware, J2EE and Mobility

  • Good understanding of the following technologies

  • Embedded Device

  • Exposed to Embedded device programming and protocols

  • Exposed to Sensor technology and analytics

  • Internet of Things

  • Experience SOA architect

  • Worked or consultancy on any IoT Platform like HPE's uIoT, Microsoft or similar.

  • Working knowledge on IoT Strategy , standards , protocols

  • Big Data information strategy and implementation experience

  • Integrations

  • Experience building web services using REST, SOAP and other similar web service technologies

  • Experience on BPM, ESB , rule engine etc

  • Cloud integration experience

  • Cloud and device security

Knowledge in the following areas are added advantage:

  • IoT experience in vertical market like Smart City, Connected Automotive, Smart Metering, Logistic and Transport etc.

  • Good understanding of IoT eco system

  • Broad understanding of evolving standards and technologies and ability to interpret/apply standards

  • Excellent teaming skills: communication, coordination, responsibility, attention to detail, adaptability, initiative, positive influence

  • Ability to cope with high peak workloads; frequent travel in the region
