In order to drive this continued success through our talented workforce, we have an opportunity for an experienced Principal Network Engineer for the Engineering Resolution Team.


  • Providing pre and post sales technical support to the sales teams, customers and partners for various technologies and solutions related to Aruba products.

  • Work on complex problems requiring in-depth fault analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Formulate technical action plans for analyzing and resolving problems.

  • Simulate customer issues in lab.

  • Participate in solutions for knowledge base.

  • Provide technical cross-training to relevant groups as needed.

  • Participate in serviceability enhancement requirement reviews.

  • Work effectively in a team environment including colleagues, QA and development engineers, and the Aruba field organization.

  • Occasionally required to travel to customer sites for troubleshooting, training purposes, business reviews.

  • Determine need to escalate & be able to interact with development & QA.

  • Interact with other teams to drive resolution of hardware / software deficiencies / bugs.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • 12 years of relevant engineering experience of which min 6 years of experience in customer facing Technical Support

  • Must have experience in supporting enterprise class networking products with advanced expertise in network switching, routing and security

  • Knowledge of authentication protocols and servers

  • Understanding and experience in configuring and troubleshooting VoIP protocols like SIP, SVP, H323 etc. required

  • Experience in network analysis and test tools such as wireshark, iperf, nmap etc. required

  • In-depth knowledge of Layer2 technologies like spanning tree, VLANs, 802.1q, 802.1d, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of internet routing protocols like RIP, OSPF etc.

  • Proficiency in VPN technologies such as L2TP, IKE, IPSec, etc.

  • Strong knowledge and concepts of TCP/IP, UDP, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, DNS, ARP, HTTP, GRE, etc.,

  • Preferred qualifications include:

  • 2 or more years of Technical Support Escalation experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of wireless networking
