In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies for the assigned Direct Materials Commodities leading cross-functional teams in the execution of sourcing initiatives end to end. You will create and develop strong working relationships with key internal and external partners and implement process improvements within the organization. You will ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement, analyze market drivers, cost structures and support supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions. You will be held accountable to deliver cost reduction goals and provide strong support to the internal stake-holders. Your responsibilities also include and are not limited to:
Lead the development and execution of SEA/ SG Commodity strategy
Lead regional and Subsidiary RFQ’s for top spend
Lead supplier selection and segmentation process
Lead on-going hopper filling for assigned commodity
Create and maintain a strong working knowledge of industry practices/capabilities and market intelligence that capture expertise / best practices and leverage the expertise to deliver incremental cost reduction and drive significant client business value
Align Priorities with Global and APAC commodity team leads and internal stakeholders
Degree in Engineering
3 years of experience in sourcing and procurement which includes negotiating commercial terms and supply agreements.
Able to travel 10% of the time
Fluent in English for negotiation with suppliers. Other Asian languages are plus.
Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection)
Self-motivated, able to perform role with minimal supervision, taking ownership and demonstrate sense of urgency
Strong leadership skills and team-player.
Ability to be innovative in issues related to strategic sourcing, supplier relations.
Excellent Presentation and influential skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and 3M suppliers to meet or exceed business objectives.
Experience in multicultural environment.
