Product Solution Engineer

Our Enterprise Group (EG) combines the portfolio of Enterprise Server, Storage, Networking and Technology Services to solve the complexities of the extended enterprise and deliver advanced solutions and services to our global, commercial and public sector and SMB customers throughout the regions.

We are currently looking for a Product Solution Engineer to be part of the EG Supply Chain business. The role will interface with pre-sale technical team to support factory capabilities to fulfill customer orders with server system customization on both hardware and software installations. The successful individual will partner with Product and Test Engineering to build up new factory express capabilities to support customer intend and solution installations. Additional he/she is to provide factory validation of server and rack solution requirement based on HPE product specification and factory solution capabilities. This engineer will also provide training and technical instruction to production technician to perform customize solution as per customer requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product, test and process engineering team to develop and execute cost effective, high quality and efficient manufacturing solutions for product customization and solution for new customer account and new product introductions.

  • Validate customer intend, follow up with presale technical team to resolve customer intend issue and error discovered during validation.

  • Lead Lean and Kaizen initiatives and implement specified changes to factory infrastructure and process to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Min 1 year of engineering experience

  • Good understanding of computer hardware and operating systems (servers)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience or understanding of engineering and testing tools and software packages.

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and electrical component design.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
