Brief Description

  • Manage & improve the global Demurrage & Detention (D&D) collections

  • Manage & improve the local surcharge revenue

  • Lead the team globally between functional areas and IT in order to ensure that DND system is functional to support the business requirements to generate accurate D&D invoice, provide analysis report and monitor the D&D special terms

  • Lead the LARA system migration for D&D

  • Lead the LARA system migration for Local Surcharge

Key Result Areas

  • Manage & improve the Demurrage & Detention collections to meet Company target

  • Lead to review, approval and implementation of system development projects of DND.

  • Build the Demurrage & Detention strategy / policy / process

  • Publish Demurrage & Detention performance.

  • Lead LARA system migration for D&D

  • Manage & improve the Local Revenue to meet Company target

  • Build the Local Revenue review strategy / policy / process

  • Publish Local Revenue performance.

Key Accountabilities/Duties

  • Lead, plan and organize the business and joint business-IT engagements as required to develop user requirements for the DND. Provide expertise in DND functionality to ensure that DND can delivery invoicing / Reporting / tracking features.

  • Manage Demurrage & Detention process across all geographies

  • Track un-billed Demurrage & Detention to ensure invoiced timely

  • Benchmark Demurrage & Detention tariff among the competitor

  • Lead to review and increase the country Demurrage & Detention tariff

  • Publish the dashboard of Demurrage & Detention performance

  • Compile budget of Demurrage & Detention

  • Analysis and control the Demurrage & Detention pre and post adjustment

  • Provide business decision of DND function scope

  • Facilitate DND IT to fix the issues

  • Review and prioritize the DND system enhancement

  • Prepare presentation to the Mgmt meeting (Trade Meeting, Synergy Meeting etc)

  • Centralize D&D billing to GSSC

  • Identify the As-IS and To-Be process for D&D to prepare the on-boarding of LARA

  • Coordinate with Core LARA project to meet the project milestones

  • Lead the Change Management for the LARA on-boarding

  • Coordinate with Core LARA project team and country / GSSC for the training.

  • Provide the AD Hoc analysis per superior

  • Provide strategy and guidance of local surcharge revenue worldwide

  • Benchmark local surcharge tariff among the competitors

  • Lead to review and increase the country local surcharge tariff

  • Publish the dashboard of Local Surcharge Revenue performance

  • Provide the Local Surcharge revenue analysis to the management

  • Prepare presentation to the Mgmt meeting (Trade Meeting, Synergy Meeting etc)

  • Prepare the budget of the local surcharge

Position requirements

  • Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business analysis, business management or economics from an established and reputable university is a prerequisite.

Experiences

  • Significant working knowledge of key APL applications and business activities in at least one of the following functional areas: Customer Service, eCommerce, Sales & Marketing, Land Transportation, Equipment Management, Network Management. Minimum of five years combined in IT or Liner Business front line management position; experience must have included project management or work as business analyst; experience at both front line office and regional level preferred.

  • At least 3-5 years of Manager position experience
