The Walt Disney Company Sales Director, Disney Digital Network in Singapore, Singapore
The Walt Disney Company is looking for an experienced, versatile, curious, charismatic, tenacious, outcome focused sales professional to lead digital advertising sales in Southeast Asia representing a contemporary suite of advertising services across a portfolio of brands focused on connecting with Millennial’s, Millennial families, and Gen Z audiences in Disney’s digital media network. The right candidate will be passionate about media and consumer digital products and have a proven track record of delivering dynamic brand focused advertising solutions for top 100 brands across Southeast Asia.
Disney’s digital media network includes Disney’s digital publishing platforms across owned & operated channels (Disney.com, Oh My Disney, Style, Babble, Polaris, StarWars.com and more), mobile apps and our YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and other 3rd party social and digital media platforms; and Maker Studios, a leading digital short-form video and influencer network. Combined the group extends content for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm while creating new original properties across formats.
Demonstrate credibility as an expert in online advertising with an emphasis on branded content, social platforms, video advertising, data, Influencer marketing, & mobile games.
Responsible for the sales prospecting, presenting, negotiating, closing and managing of online advertising with revenue accountability.
Ability to set goals and lead a team of commercial executives across Southeast Asia.
Able to lead with ideas that demonstrate an understanding of advertising partner business objectives and the strengths of the Disney Digital Network.
Manage all levels of advertising agency decision makers and influencers.
Build relationships with advertisers and ad agencies with the goal of enhancing these relationships, building new clients and opportunities, and producing revenue on a consistent, quarterly basis to meet and exceed revenue goal targets.
Participate in client appropriate cross-media opportunities that span business units within The Walt Disney Company. Actively participate in industry and professional events.
Demonstrate effective revenue projection management, sales reporting and customer contact management.
Develop strong relationships throughout Disney to ensure a unified and coordinated strategy is presented in the market.
Work closely with the XLOB teams to maximize opportunities across our key brands and franchises.
Work closely with the partnerships team in managing key accounts for TWDC SEA.
Basic Qualifications :
Must have 10 years of online sales experience with proven sales track record delivering brand advertising solutions with proven leadership skills and experience.
Possess a working knowledge of all online metrics, technologies and research tools used in the marketplace.
Prior sales experience and advertising relationships in Southeast Asia is a must.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Internet and online advertising plus the various platforms, creative units/executions and current competitive landscape.
Demonstrated consultative selling, collaboration and negotiation skills.
Be knowledgeable and have sales relationships across Southeast Asia region.
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
Established industry relationships and successful experience with senior executives.
Passion for creativity; the creative drive to develop rich, dynamic, and exceptionally effective advertising strategies.
Knowledge of sales metrics including exceeding the average deal size, average close ratio, and balance the ratio of custom to standard programs.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Have strong respect & understanding for what success looks like in a team environment.
Successfully operate within a large organization, effectively communicating with executives, interdepartmental teams and external clients.
Highly adaptable to change, with the ability to quickly identify solutions when faced with challenges.
A fan of the franchises of The Walt Disney Company and the company’s history.
Diplomacy, tact, negotiation and relationship building skills are essential.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Keynote.
