As a hand on developer, you will be working to build robust and scalable self-service data platform for Autodesk. You will work with cutting edge open source technologies in big data space. Responsibilities: Design and develop components of end to end Data Platform Work with the team to make the Data Platform an efficient, robust and scalable platform Active member of a highly skilled and motivated agile development team Contribute to a team culture that values quality, robustness, and scalability while fostering initiatives and innovation

Requirements: BS or MS in computer science or a related field 7 years of relevant industry experience 3 years of experience with Big Data Strong knowledge and experience in Hadoop 2.0 and its ecosystem. Strong programming skills in Java Experience with Map Reduce Experience with Hive and one relational DB Strong problem solving skills Strong communication skills Ability to learn new technical skills Desired: Experience with Spark Experience with Hadoop / Spark Source Code Experience with Python, Scala Experience with Flume Experience with Docker, Mesos Experience with at least one workflow scheduler (e.g. Oozie) Experience with Amazon Web Services Experience with Kafka/Splunk/ELK/Hive Metastore
