Job Background / Context:

This is a Senior Project Management role within the FXLM Technology Team based in Singapore, working on the build-out of the pricing platforms with a focus on emerging markets FX, FX Fwds / Swaps, IR Swaps, Bonds and IR derivatives.

Job Description:

FXLM Technology is focused on delivering IT solutions to the FX and Local Markets Sales and Trading business. Our core strength is providing the technical expertise and software development skills that directly affect the ability of our business to generate revenue and several of our client facing applications such as Citi FX Velocity and FX Click are leaders in their respective markets. Simpliciti is our core IR derivatives risk management platform, used by the FXLM business, covering all types of FX and rates products. The system utilizes Citi’s native analytical libraries, and relies on the power of the grid, to churn out volumes of risk measures. eDealer is the core office platform used within the FXLM business for the trading of Currencies all interest rates business. There is abundant opportunity for the right individual to showcase their creativity all business knowledge in providing system solutions to the trading all sales business.

We are looking to hire a senior resource with a FX & Rates background to work with the business and technology teams, and project manage the requirements collection, design and delivery of priority pricing and risk projects for the Local Markets Rates business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for project managing the large scale migration of key trade processing and risk platforms to the next generation of analytical risk reporting and regulatory reporting standards. (as part of FRTB regulatory initiative)

  • Close interaction with Traders and Quants to understand new requirements for applications across the platform, specifically focused on Pricing and Risk

  • Define and deliver innovative Risk Management and reporting capabilities for traders

  • Assist in creating functional enhancement documents, prioritize them with the business, explain them to the development team & then execute User Acceptance Testing scripts to ensure quality delivery of software solution to the business

  • Project Manage delivery of large scale projects by working with various stakeholders (across multiple technology teams and business heads)

  • Build and maintain application and functional knowledge to show-case system features to user base

  • Ad-hoc and on-desk support of the production systems (a dedicated 24h support team handles 1st line)

  • Co-ordinate with development team for testing and implementations for various releases

  • Managing stakeholders to ensure that the requirements and solutions are crystal clear to everyone

  • This is a hands-on role that will offer exposure to the full testing life cycle, whilst working closely with the front office business and development teams across the globe

  • Good communications skills and ability to put forward arguments persuasively

Qualifications

Knowledge / Experience:

  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry focused mainly on the risk and trade lifecycle management space)

  • Excellent knowledge of Rates & Foreign Exchange products

  • Knowledge of Emerging Markets and their peculiarities, nuances is preferable

  • Excellent project management capabilities. Demonstrate expertise on delivering medium-large global projects to traders without time / cost overruns

  • Hands-on development experience (in C++ or Java) is an added benefit.

  • PMP or equivalent relevant project management certification

  • Recent experience leading an electronic trading Technology Team

  • Self-starting individual with experience of working in a desk facing role

  • He/She needs to be self-driven and have a problem solving attitude

  • The candidate is expected to be enthusiastic and a quick-learner as this is a rapidly changing environment

Skills:

  • Quantitative understanding of the FXLM or G10 Rates trading business or related areas (e.g. Equities high frequency trading)

  • Expert Excel skills with VBA

  • Proficiency with MS Project or equivalent project management software and approaches

  • Intermediate / Expert on financial market calculations (e.g. FX, interest rates, NPV, Bond Pricing etc.)

  • Intermediate / Expert on Agile development platforms. Conversant with the development lifecycle and tools used (e.g. JIRA, Kanban, Scrum boards etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification is essential.

Competencies:

  • Additional financial qualifications (CFA, FRM etc.) are a plus, though not mandatory

  • Possess the ability to develop good working relationships with peer groups and management

  • Have a proactive approach towards possible issue and dependencies

  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks and changing priorities

  • Self motivated, enthusiastic and confident

  • Display propensity for detail and comprehensiveness of content
