PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
As Analytics Global CoE Senior Specialist for APJ and GC, you will assume responsibility to support the long term objective of revenue, market share and end-to-end solution adoption with respect to SAP’s Analytics Solutions in our APJ&GC theater. The role requires a conceptual thinker who can analyze the business, formulate a demand generation or customer engagement plan and through partnership with internal and external stakeholders, jointly execute on the plan or activity.
The role requires a true startup mentality and “pull up your sleeves and do what needs to get done” spirit while prioritizing what's important to our business and revenue growth (in the frame of our known governance and org structures); following the 80-20-80 rule - 80% of time to be focused on 20% of deals/activities that generate 80% of quarterly revenue. Talk the talk and walk the walk.
This team collaborates with the Regional CoE and Analytics Sales organization and cooperates with P&I, Product & Event Marketing (PMKT), GPO (Channel Ecosystem), regional Analytics & Insight field teams (Sales and Presales), and other counterparts to define the solution support and programs for the Analytics sales bag.

Accelerate and expand top opportunities through deep solution and end-to-end Analytics expertise, and;
Enable the field and channel to overachieve revenue targets - for every solution and every region, across all industries and customer segments
The Analytics Global CoE Senior Specialist for APJ and GC operates under the following banner:
supporting APJ&GC with regional and/or content-related support assignments for enabling field forces, generating valuable demand and building qualified pipeline;
seek to be proactive and not reactive; we apply divide & conquer strategies and adopt to the T-profile of competencies
stay ahead of our business at all times by reviewing analyzing pipeline and performance;
seek engagement, collaboration and close alignment with the regional execution forces (including but not limited to taking the lead and ownership of programs and initiatives);
provide strategic deal support by engaging with customers;
share, guide and support the adoption of global practices & strategies.
Regional CoE and Global CoE in APJ&GC operate under the united banner “shared purpose, joint forces” – our focus is on demand gen, pipeline build, field enablement and strategic deal support (convert volume into value, expand and accelerate deals, qualify and protect). This role operates in APJ&GC and each member of our GCOE team in APJ&GC is either driving programs or supporting the field with special solution expertise and\or the ability and competence to profoundly present and lead an specialized end-to-end Analytics business discussion.
Apart from cross departmental collaboration and teaming with Global and Regional CoE peers and Sales, continuous learning and sharing of new solutions, experiences and technologies and its rollout is key in this role. You will play a key role to identify areas of synergies within the Sales & Presales area and in the daily business interaction with the presales units of the APJ&GC MUs to continuously drive innovation and improve the operational excellence of the Sales & Presales area.
You will interact with (prospective) customers and partners through executive meetings, design councils, innovation workshops (e.g. Analytics Strategy Assessment Program), roadmap conversations, competitive differentiators, solution demonstrations, executive presentations and follow-up discussions. In addition to potential strategic deal support, you will host speaker engagement (webinars, key notes, sales acceleration calls) and provide event support.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
University grade or MBA preferred
Successful track record in business development, solution or portfolio management and go-to-market programs
Strong executive communications & objection handling skills
Strong program & project management skills
Ability to quickly understand new technologies and translate to market potential
Analytics Product certification, engineering credential, or equivalent technical credential
Thorough knowledge of and ability to partner with all internal and external stakeholders for driving customer success
Ability to perform situational and data based analysis of the business to formulate and implement recommendations for corrective actions or how to address new opportunities
Reading accounts and deploying appropriate resources
English language proficiency; other theater language skills are welcome but not mandatory
Proven interpersonal and team skills at all levels and in multi-cultural environments
Strong business acumen and understanding of SAP business strategy and solutions, partners, markets and competition
Strong problem solving skills and able to de-escalate problematic situations
Open mindedness and ability to quickly adapt to new requirements
10 years of professional experience in the Enterprise Software market or working for Industry/LOB organizations in the Business Analytics domain
Professional experience in the Enterprise Performance Management domain
Proven track record of customer-centric solution selling to large enterprise accounts
Experience in driving and supporting complex sales cycles
Intimate knowledge of the Analytics space, including but not limited to SAP, partner and competitive offerings
Customer facing work experience that includes time spent in a business development/consulting and sales/presales related function
