Dow Chemical Site Logistics Technician in Singapore, Singapore
We are seeking out for a Site Logistics Technician and the role will be based in Jurong Island.
Ensures logistics activities and performance are aligned with department and business goals.
Follows operating discipline, procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation of assigned duties.
Uses troubleshooting skills to resolve process, product quality, safety, and environmental problems.
Uses knowledge and skills to make improvements in warehouse performance and Operating Discipline.
As required, initiates and participates in Root Cause Investigations.
Acts as Dow focal point for all contract operations in the respective logistics area, including: Prioritizing daily tasks, providing direction on facility operation, and escalating issues to contract supervision.
Works with the production plant to ensure seamless integration between manufacturing and logistics.
Investigate and resolve quality issues.
Covers call outs on nights and weekends to ensure continuous operation of assets.
Performs all duties with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship.
Maintain a safe working environment and participate in all required safety programs, training, and activities.
Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
Interact with work process systems such as SAP to conduct shipping and receiving tasks.
Manage Shipment and ensure products are delivered without incident
Manage transport vendors
Activity & management of Logistics safety
Support to manage inventory (Including control SAP system in logistics & production)
Support for export & import
Perform immediate response activities
English language proficiency (Ability to compose business emails in English and speak fluently)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, reading comprehensive and listening skills
A self-starter who is self-motivated and can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks
Experience in a Logistics (minimum 2 years) role
Experience in management of transport of dangerous goods or chemicals (preferred)
Experience the control SAP(ERP) system
High use ability of Word, Excel and Power point, etc.
