Technical Marketing Consultant (Plastics) - ASEAN & India
Location of work : Mumbai - India or Singapore
Reporting to Regional Marketing Leader, Plastics & Laminates
_ Roles and Responsibilities_
Business development downstream- ability to connect with other co-suppliers and downstream customers and initiate collaboration work- either to assess value of our offering or to develop new offeringsWork with external partners to promote better business potential in conjunction with internal sales, marketing & technology teams
Co-suppliers – manage joint sharing of ideas/technology/direct technical application development activities related to these relationships
Downstream customer understanding – participation in trade organizations/forums/blogs pertaining to our customers key market customers – calling on them directly as well to understand market needs and drivers
Provide training to the sales team by application and develop competitive intelligence to show the differentiation of grade performance Technical support to resolve Customer Quality complaints by coordinating with the Plant site Deliver value in use (assessment) of our product offering by application – Application assessment done inside(lab) or outsource Develop and deploy value proposition of our Offerings by different segments - Polyolefin , Engineering plastics and PVC. Translate customer needs into Product attributes and CTQ’s for offering development programs. Participate and give presentations at seminars ,conferences , trade shows to promote TT offerings and keep abreast on application trends / development Work with external partners : co-suppliers , downstream customers to explore ideas, technology, technical applications development to enhance our product offerings / performance.
Degree or Masters in chemistry, chemical engineering, or other related technical fields is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in research, product development, technical service, technical marketing, new business development, marketing, sales or a combination thereof.
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment.
Professional presence and business acumen with demonstrated ability to work across various functions and levels and demonstrated ability to successfully work across teams.
Product and Application knowledge.
High level of understanding of TT capabilities and limitations
Sales and business development skills- to connect with customer’s customers and co-suppliers to develop join projects, and create pull through.
Marketing and communication skills- ability to translate technical performance into application benefits performance and share it
Technical skills (how our products perform on the different processing conditions) – highly desired
