We are currently hiring a Technical Trainer Lead to join our Information Management Services division (formerly known as ARINC) Airports division in Singapore. Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the Global Airports training. Work with customer, engineering, technical support, Product Management, Airports factory and the Global Training Department to ensure accurate course material and deliver training prepared instructional presentations.

  • Operate various interactive instructional resources and audiovisual equipment.

  • Prepare course outlines and lessons and plans per approved standards/contract requirements.

  • Coordinate with the Global Bids and Proposal, Global Sales and Global Product Management teams to provide training requirements and estimates.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Account Managers to deliver and execute and deliver training requirements are on target and meet budget requirements.

  • Maintains and demonstrates technical competence and/or expertise in areas of responsibility. This includes all current Rockwell Collins Airport System products and involves learning and keeping up-to-date regarding new product releases such as well as the COTS software.

  • Be responsible for coordination and administration of classroom and virtual training classes for APAC. This includes managing all activities for designated classes from scheduling, instructor or Subject Matter Experts (SME) sourcing, training plans and materials ordering, responding to customer inquiries, invoicing and post-training follow-up.

  • Train both internal and external customers across the globe.

  • Frequently interact with customers and coordinate with Airlines and Airport Authorities at airports regarding training requirements.

  • Participate in global training activities required for airports - Travel to customer sites, perform site surveys, interface with local technical personnel, and perform installation activities.

  • regulatory authorities in both locations

  • Coordinate training plans, process and budget

  • Assist in product documentation for training

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a technical training environment required; some instructional design experience preferred.

  • CTT+ or equivalent preferred

  • ITIL certification preferred

  • Proficient in English (both verbal and writing), due to APAC coverage, familiar in delivering training material in Chinese will be a plus.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as learning technologies such as design tools, LMS' and web conferencing applications.

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Self-discipline and motivation to produce results with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to details and demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills

  • Travel required (50-75%)

Qualifications

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

It is desired that candidate has experience and working knowledge in:

  • Cloud Computing and cloud technologies and models such as IaaS, PaaS.

  • Data Replication/Mirroring and High availability solutions software.

  • Symantec Backup Exec 2012/2014 Agent for Applications and databases and tape libraries, and Intelligent Disaster Recovery (IDR).

  • Monitoring application such as WhatsUp Gold, SolarWinds, HP Open View, etc.

  • Load balancers software and hardware in virtualized platforms.

  • Workstation and Server imaging software like Symantec Ghost, Acronis

  • ISO processes, Technical writing skills, Troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Microsoft MSMQ, IBM WebSphere

  • Familiarity with application services such as Web services (web-based applications) using the XML, SOAP, WSDL and UDDI open standards over an Internet protocol backbone.

  • Windows Security software and implementation: Microsoft WSUS

  • Antivirus software, preferably McAfee and McAfee ePO

  • PCI/DSS and other security standards such as ISO 27001

  • Working with enterprise server hardware platforms (HP and Dell).
