Analyst, Trade & Industry
Market Development drives opportunities within Asia Pacific to grow and defend our business in a profitable and sustainable manner. Our key activities include:
Identifying & developing new business,
Identifying & driving strategic partnerships and acquisitions,
Providing deep sales expertise,
Managing pricing and network economics, and
Driving merchant acceptance
Trade & Industry (T&I) is part of Market Development. T&I focuses on growing commercial solutions with the public sector. Our existing priorities are in areas of Travel, Trade and Mass Transit.
T&I is looking for Team Member who will serve as the coordinator / hub for our various project, multi-touch point relationships and internal / external communications. The role will support the sales, marketing, solutioning, PR activities of our T&I priorities, as part of their role of aligning internal and partner assets and resources against public sector opportunities. The role will also assist in driving process, communications and partnerships.
We are looking for a team player who has experience in complex project / operations management, relationship management and professional communications to reinforce our overall capabilities.
Specifically, the objectives are to support the Asia Pacific T&I team by:
Managing projects with the public sector, and associated key partners
Helping to articulate how MasterCard insight, products, platforms and services resonate with the KPIs of the relevant public sector stakeholders, for example, how MasterCard products can help improve the user experience of a request for a subsidy.
Providing RFP management and RFP production support
Creating sales & marketing materials for T&I
Maintaining sales library / knowledge sharing
Producing and distributing regular internal / external status updates
To accomplish the above, the individual is expected to:
Help public servants and partners articulate the value of MasterCard products and services, recommend a relevant solution construct
Assist with the creation of training, sales & PR materials / activities to bolster the capabilities of internal and external partners
Educate & partner with country, product and other internal teams to support initiatives and partnerships
Measure communication effectiveness, obtain feedback and utilize these to improve materials and processes

We are looking for an individual that has the following:
Is motivated to be a part of a team that is helping businesses gain business efficiencies / advantages through digitizing payments and processes or process redesign
Is a self-starter who has a proven track record of helping to build sales / marketing materials and communication programs, particularly for new markets or solutions
Possesses strong organizational, project management, communication and presentation skills
Able to access / connect with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
The following experiences / skills are preferred:
Has experience in a business / corporate bank
Has sold / managed / implemented cash or trade products
Has a working knowledge of payables and receivables challenges for companies
Ability to map complex business and financial process and propose improvements
Possess functional knowledge in payment solutions
Is self-motivated, with a consistent high level of focus and enthusiasm
Adept at operating within a fast-paced and dynamic matrix organization
