POSITION SUMMARY: (Brief summary of job purpose)
This position forms part of the APAC Planning Centre of Excellence (COE). The COE will develop and align Planning strategies and innovations in close collaboration with the Supply Chain Leadership, Supply Chain local leaders and Global Supply Chain to develop best in class solutions and processes to our supply chain to provide our customers with the best experience possible. This is a key role setting the strategic direction for APAC Planning systems, processes and initiatives.
Reporting to this position, there will be 3 teams focused on Planning Processes and Systems Optimization, Planning and Item Master data Governance as well as KPI Analysis and Monitoring.
The teams comprise of various levels in the organisation from Analyst to Principal Analyst to Manager, hence it is imperative that the incumbent is able to exercise leadership and influencing skills across the diverse background and skillsets in this team.
This position will be directly responsible for the development, design and implementation of processes and systems that optimize Supply Planning and Inventory Management across APAC, taking into consideration the trade-offs between carrying cost, operational cost, obsolescence cost, and service levels. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the integrity of the Planning Master data elements and the overall generation, monitoring and analysis of key KPI metrics.
This position applies standard processes and practices across APAC, enabled with integrated technology for the effective and efficient management of Supply planning activities to ensure that business requirements are consistently met.
Responsible for the identification, colation, prioritisation and management of projects relating to technologies process improvements for the Planning area within the APAC region.
Provide consultation and represent APAC in global councils and collaborative platforms pertaining to Planning and Planning Platform Innovations (PPI). The incumbent will play a key leadeship rol in the global-regional-local space.
This position will work closely with APAC Supply Chain County and Function leadership, Business leadership, Global Supply Chain Planning Teams, Global Councils, APAC Finance and IT.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: (Job duties and functions)
Defines the strategic direction and approach for the Planning Framework across Asia Pacific.
Responsible for development, design and implementation of standardized processes and systems that optimize the Planning function across APAC.
Leads, monitors and is accountable for projects and portfolio results from initiation to successful completion.
Provides leadership and direction to additional project, sub-team and task leaders under strategies and portfolios assigned.
Is learned in, selects, and utilizes appropriate project / portfolio execution methodologies and strategies including Lean Sigma, Agile development, core PM skills, etc.
Develops and actively utilizes project charters, project calendars, task lists, and meetings agendas and objectives over the course of projects assigned to.
Drives or assists with key deliverables needed for system changes including Return on Investment (ROI) calculations, documenting requirements, and contributing to the completion of solution designs and functional specifications.
Documents and analyzes information and data as needed to make programs successful and communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
Organizes and facilitates cross-functional program teams, and identifies and drives tactical activities.
Identifies and works to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful completion of projects and portfolios assigned to. Enlists leadership actively and as needed to assist with barriers.
Proactively reaches out to subject matter experts for knowledge, benchmarking and assistance to ensure programs are successful.
Communicates with internal and external project stakeholders at leadership level with regular cadence through a variety of mediums, including presentations, email and stretches on program status and performance. Ensures that stakeholders have up-to-date information needed for their particular function in a timely manner.
Creates and maintains excellent working relationships within the teams assigned, and across Medtronic functions and departments. Acts as a liaison between Supply Chain and other Medtronic organizations, and advocates on behalf of APAC Supply Chain.
Implement a Planning Systems Training Hub/framework in Asia Pacific to ensure the skillsets across APAC Planning are up to standard.
Responsible for pro-active master data maintenance, improvements and synchronization between planning applications and SAP ECC.
Develop and implement a regional change management process for planning data definition, aligned with global processes.
Provide monthly KPI reporting and analysis to the APAC region. Identify problem areas and work with Supply Chain Teams in market to ensure issues are addressed.

Collaborate with other functions within the APAC Planning COE so as to deliver on the initiatives and goals of the APAC Planning COE.
Identify and manage improvements in line with the Planning Strategy for APAC that is aligned with the Global Supply Chain strategies and supports the APAC sub-regions to obtain excellence in perfect order fulfillment, cost leverage and sustained productivity, collaborative innovative strategic partnerships and continuous process improvements.

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain
Minimum 8-10 years management experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations including people management
Experience in Medical Device Industry
Lean, Six Sigma green or black belt certification
5 Years project management experience
Change Management Agent and experience in complex program management, process system development
Extensive working and technical knowledge of SAP APO and ECC functionality and concepts
Effective and seasoned working in a matrix organization and multi-level stakeholder management
Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally in English, both written and orally, to wide variety of audiences
