POSITION SUMMARY (Brief summary of job purpose)

  • This position forms part of the APAC Planning Centre of Excellence (COE). The COE will develop and align Planning strategies and innovations in close collaboration with the Supply Chain Leadership, Supply Chain local leaders and Global Supply Chain to develop best in class solutions and processes to our supply chain to provide our customers with the best experience possible.

  • This position will be directly responsible for the development, design and implementation of processes and systems that optimize Supply Planning and Inventory Management, taking into consideration the trade-offs between carrying cost, operational cost, obsolescence cost, and service levels. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the integrity of the Planning Master data elements.

  • This position applies standard processes and practices across APAC, enabled with integrated technology for the effective and efficient management of Supply planning activities to ensure that business requirements are consistently met. This position is required to manage APAC-wide cross-functional projects, providing valuable advice on system setup and inputs relevant to the business related to Supply Chain Planning. Requires extensive SAP/R3 and APO knowledge to resolve day to day SAP/R3 and APO issues that are faced by users.

  • This position will work closely with other functions in the COE, the APAC Country Supply Chain teams and Global IT teams, SAP Planning Business users, APAC Finance and IT.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Job duties and functions)

  • As an individual contributor in the APAC Planning Processes Systems team, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the development of the overall APAC Planning Systems strategy

  • Designing and providing strategic solutions to strengthen SAP supply planning solutions (SAP APO)

  • Analyzing upstream downstream supply planning stages to recommend solutions that improvise the full life cycle and ensure correct net requirements, safety stocks etc are being generated. Troubleshooting and follow up to get the issues fixed

  • Reviewing detailed design specifications with the IT team, keeping in mind the business requirements, developing strategies and supporting business reviews

  • Overseeing successful integration of new Planning Systems functionality (APO, ECC, MGX) with existing systems

  • Managing Planning Systems projects across all the countries in APAC to ensure successful adoption and also subsequent monitoring and support for any issues. Accountable for projects from initiation to successful completion.

  • Providing day-to-day support to business users to assist them with knowledge/training gaps

  • Contribute to the development of a knowledge management portal aimed at increasing the overall skill levels of the APO planning user community in APAC

  • Responsible for development, design and implementation of standardized processes and systems that optimize the Planning function across APAC.

  • Utilizes appropriate project / portfolio execution methodologies and strategies including Lean Sigma, Agile development, core PM skills, etc.

  • Develops and actively utilizes project charters, project calendars, task lists, and meetings agendas and objectives over the course of projects assigned to

  • Communicates with internal and external project stakeholders with regular cadence through a variety of mediums, including presentations, email and stretches on program status and performance. Ensures that stakeholders have up-to-date information needed for their particular function in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for pro-active master data maintenance, improvements and synchronization between planning applications and SAP ECC.

  • Collaborate with other functions within the APAC Planning COE so as to deliver on the initiatives and goals of the APAC Planning COE. All other duties as assigned by manager.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/ Engineering/Information Technology/ Computer science

  • 3-5 years experience in Supply Chain and SAP

  • Preferable Experience in Medical Device Industry Lean, Six Sigma green or black belt certification

  • 3-5 Years project management experience

  • Change Management Agent and experience in complex program management, process system development

  • Extensive working and technical knowledge of SAP APO and ECC functionality and concepts

  • Effective and seasoned working in a matrix organization and multi-level stakeholder management

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally in English, both written and orally, to wide variety of audiences
