As an Education Sales Director, you will assist in driving growth and shaping the future of an industry leading education sales organization. You should be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a global coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly targets.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Determines global strategy including; defining customer targets, sales priorities and field integration of customer education resources.
Grows customer satisfaction across the assigned region by providing exemplary service and support.
Leading and directing the Customer Education Sales team; ensuring they are an efficient and effective team of sales professionals who are able to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quota targets and are performing regular site visits.
Develop, implement, and measure regional sales strategies and plans complete with accurate forecasts.
Assisting in sales efforts, legal contracting, and in resolving customer issues.
Attracting, engaging and retaining a team of high performing customer education teams and motivated field sales.
Training, developing and directing reports in product knowledge, time and territory management, and competitive knowledge.
Providing ongoing feedback and coaching and host regularly scheduled performance reviews.
Participating in various headquarter/regional planning and training activities.
Coordinates and incorporates Partner execution plans with channel education team.
Creates & articulates compelling value propositions around Education offerings.
Develops long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
Approximate annual travel requirements – 30%
MBA degree or equivalent work experience required.
7+ years of significant industry knowledge and experience.
Ideal candidates will have experience selling Managed Services, Consulting Services, Storage and Cloud, Dell EMC products or similar solutions tied to enterprise and client solutions.
Must be conversant in Global Service related topics, methodologies, industry trends, and core technologies.
Must be able to demonstrate experience in developing executive-level relationships; demonstrate business acumen in presenting solutions on an ROI basis, strategies, successful penetration of new accounts, and building successful client relationships across an entire spectrum of buyers, influencers and executive-level decision makers across a broad spectrum of solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and execute upon agreed strategy.
Direct field experience in working with enterprise accounts.
Extensive customer network and expert level tracking skills.
Proven history of meeting and exceeding quotas.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Expert project management and executive-level presentation skills.
Extensive knowledge of product lines, technical knowledge, customer care, sales, policies and procedures.
