Director, Products & Platforms Loyalty Solutions: SEA
MasterCard Loyalty Solutions (LS) provides a range of solutions to financial institutions such as issuers, non-financial institutions and merchants to help them grow their business profitably. Our issuer value propositions include cardholder benefits and insurances (which protect cardholders and make their day to day lives easier), reward platforms including card-linked offers, loyalty program management capability, and customer service delivery (leveraging our global network of assistance centers). Our merchant solutions enable retailers to attract new customers, cross-sell to existing customers and win back existing customers leveraging spending data and MasterCards network capabilities.
As we look to continue to build-out this business an opportunity exists to join the LS team for South East Asia. The successful individual will be responsible for leading and defining the Products & Platforms vertical for the geography. The individual will own and drive the loyalty solutions product agenda as well as provide critical support as the key Subject Matter Expert for product related queries/discussions. This position will be based out of our office in Singapore.
The ideal candidate brings business acumen, and understanding of customer insights in order to drive & bring relevant LS capabilities to market and address customer needs. This role will actively engage not only externally with potential suppliers and customers, but also internally with the regional/global LS product & platform, Issuer/Merchant Value Proposition teams, as well as cross functionally with MasterCard Core Products, Technology & Operations teams.
We are looking for candidates who have a strong product experience preferably with a background in loyalty management including benefits, rewards sourcing and fulfilment, data analytics and offer management. You should have a firm understanding of loyalty economics and be able to build/recommend and launch products in markets that optimise member engagement, delivering positive loyalty outcomes for clients. Logistics, gift card, merchandise and travel sourcing experience highly valued.
The position requires strong strategic and tactical marketing, strong merchant negotiation skills, project management, interpersonal and communication skills. Must have the ability to build relationships between the business and technical teams whilst keeping abreast of the latest development in the local loyalty and card payments scene.
Define, develop and manage the product solution set for SEA cluster end to end (inclusive of pricing structures/models and operational set ups required to localise solutions for SEA markets e.g. regulatory and licence requirements; vendor identification, negotiation and contracting.)
Liaise and partner with Implementation and Operations teams to ensure all necessary groundwork is complete to allow smooth client implementation of LS product/service solutions.
Work with sales and business development to drive partner engagement and to close new partnership opportunities
Identify Product opportunities of new products for the market segments relevant for region and lead development of any business cases needed to support introduction.

Solid working knowledge of the loyalty and payments industry and its eco-system.
A proven track record of successful execution
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Strong product management, product marketing, and business development experience with a track record of delivering high-quality products and user experiences on time and on budget.
Comfortable articulating a value proposition
Ability to multitask several requests, quickly assemble data and generate impactful insights in a fast paced environment in partnership with various business units
Ability to negotiate and solutions oriented to identify win-win scenarios that leave all parties satisfied with a business outcome that will be mutually beneficial
