Position Responsibilities\Requirements:

Job Overview

This role is within the Derivatives Utility Technology and is responsible for managing projects of various systems across Derivatives space. The candidate will work closely with the Client, Operations and IT teams to manage all business requirements and co-ordinate the project from start to finish. The candidate should have a balance of functional and technical knowledge in Futures and Options space.


  • Understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders and groups such as Finance, Compliance, Front-Office, Middle-Office etc.

  • Analyse and document business requirements for the project whilst acting as a conduit between Client, Operations users and Technology development teams. Analyse impact of changes on Utility IT and Operations processes.

  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Provide SME knowledge and act as Business Analyst on projects which involves downstream delivery.

  • Provide technical assistance to the project team.

  • Participate in design discussions and propose design solution that are effective and efficient.

  • Co-ordinate timely response and resolution of all queries.

  • Ensure the delivery of agreed and defined deliverables.

  • Ensure resources and availability of resources for the project.

  • Analyse activities during planning to highlight any gaps in process and recommend / implement preventative/detective controls.

  • Provide constant feedback to stakeholders to improve our service offering.

  • Helping business stakeholders envision the futures and how their work will need to change to support the future.

  • Maintain an awareness of industry development and provide assessments of their impact on Client processing and FIS products.

  • Day to day consultation and liaison with the project team.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of strong IT experience.

  • Experience in analysing data in Investment Banking domain and project management experience.

  • SME knowledge and understanding of the Listed Derivatives systems.

  • Manage multiple projects deliveries simultaneously to tight deadlines.

  • Strong SQL knowledge.

  • Analytical and can solve problems quickly and innovatively.

  • Hands-on and able to lead by example

  • Delivery focused, results driven. High attention to detail and quality of outputs delivered.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication

  • Excellent communication skills for clear and effective interaction with both internal and external parties.

  • Evaluating alternatives and taking the responsibility to make sound decisions.

  • Takes initiative and originates action.
