What you’ll be doing … * *LI-ME2

As Sales Area Manager, Enterprise, you will work with assigned Account Managers as the Enterprise Inside Sales, and be responsible for managing inside sales for Tableau’s Enterprise Accounts. You’ll manage the sales process throughout the sales cycle including prospecting, product demonstrations over the web, sales engineering assistance, account management, writing proposals, and closing business. This role is a quota-carrying sales position that plays an integral role in the success of the overall sales team.

Some of the things you’ll be doing include …

  • Represent Tableau and its product suite in new customer accounts of all sizes and industries

  • Meet and exceed direct sales goals within assigned geographic territory

  • Manage all aspects of the sales process including lead generation, qualification, evaluation, close and account management

  • Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales potential with the ability to move a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline

  • Manage and track customer and transactional information into our CRM Salesforce.com; logging all sales activity; keeping customer account current and accurate

  • Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including sales engineering and product support

  • Conduct web-based product demonstration, leveraging solid product expertise and technical knowledge

  • Work effectively within a team environment to maximize revenue potential and ensure customer success

  • Other related duties as assigned

Who you are …

  • Experienced. You have two to four years of direct sales experience, preferably in high volume, transactional sales of technology or services in mentioned territories

  • Amazing Salesperson. You have a desire, even an obsession, to bring / expand customers into the Tableau franchise and maximize revenue. You have the ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline with a proven track record of handling and closing a large number of transactions simultaneously

  • Technically Savvy. You don’t shy away from opportunities to get into technology – and you can learn it quickly.

  • Go-Getter . You are willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful

  • Missionary. You “get it” and understand Tableau’s mission deeply in some way. You believe Tableau will become one of the most important technology companies in the world, you want to be a contributing member of a winning sales team, and you want to have fun all the way

  • Effective Communicator. You are clear and persuasive in verbal and written communications with highly effective use of email and telephone

  • Cross-Cultural . You have experience relating to customers from a variety of countries and have a proven track-record of successfully selling into India

  • Domain. As you will be working directly with Tableau’s most strategic accounts, prior account management experience is preferred. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.
